Balaji a bowler who is bowling to his field. Apart from that shocker from Badri in the field he hasn't looked like conceding a boundary in his first couple of overs. Encouraging start from him.

Watched some of the highlights this morning while having breakfast. Did not watch the whole thing - seems to have been a cracker of a game! Also, yes, nice to see Balaji back (always rated him) but has he changed his action a little? From recollection, I think he may have.

We were losing early wickets in our earlier matches and wanted to ensure as much safety at the top of the order as possible. Not that we managed to do it any way.

Dont know what Ganguly is doing in this series. His batting average and Strike rate both one of the worst(if not the worst) in the tournament among those who have played 5+ games. Even VVS and Jaffer have better average and strike rate than him.

It was definitely a poor display by him today. He needs to show that he deserves his place as a batsman, not that he will be dropped by KKR as we both know.

Surprised White and Boucher aren't the other way round... Boucher at 5 and White at 3. Isn't that more like their normal positions?

Bangalore really missed a beat by having White bat so low and not selecting White for the earlier games. They looked like a test side till White came into bat.

CSK had 6 local players (including Murali) and 7 if you include Dhoni.

Delhi appears the most 'localized' team not only using local players for filling out, but for very key roles. Their entire top order (Sehwag,Gambhir,Dhawan) are home-boys and the bulwark of their batting. Rajat Bhatia is their all-rounder and Sangwan plays more than the token game.

(Have Manhas, Tehlan and Amit Mishra in the squad too. Ishant is the main miss, and to a lesser extent Virat Kohli. Nehra is doing OK in Mumbai, but surprisingly so).
