For all you non-Ganguly fans out there, translation is:

"Because I am still clinging to the misguided notion that Ganguly should still be captain of India, I love sticking the boot into Dravid because he had the temerity to replace him at the top and in spite of the fact that he performs better than my hero even when supposedly out of form and playing in a format that supposedly doesnt suit him"
i would appreciate it if you could get at least something spot on

FYI, i like Dravid more than Ganguly .... I support Dhoni for captaincy in all the forms

I don't see a place for Dravid and Ganguly in the ODIs and T20 and if we get enough talent then i won't hesitate to replace these two in tests too

get something right, kid :)

Sure you do

BTW, dont hold your breath waiting for a replacement for Dravid in tests - a Tendy only come along once in a generation

Excruciatingly annoying run out. Scene was set for Misbah and White to really hit out to get a good score, very unnecessary.

Delhi vs B'lore

let's analyze Dravid's batting here

This is a game where B'lore is batting first, the pressure is on to win, set up a good total, hit the good balls and what does he do 9 of 11 :p .... and he came in at a relatively good position of 41/2

This RCB batting is looking sadder by the match. Why they've benched Boucher, we don't know. They've got some good T20 players such as Cameron White, Praveen Kumar and Virat Kohli, and what happens? They're playing second fiddle to some Test stalwarts misfit in T20, and also some weak locals.

Boucher is injured. Don't know which match you're watching if you call their batting sadder by the match, if anything their batsmen are looking better by the match and coming to terms with the Twenty20 nuances. Regarding Dravid, he actually played pretty well, rotating the strike and allowing the in-form Goswami who was hitting the ball beautifully to maintain the strike, in the end he was done whilst trying to continue that. Kallis played quite well also and the scene was set for a big score, but they just sort of fell apart towards the end. But the signs are encouraging. Great last over from Misbah though, put them right back in it.

cool batting by Misbah :)

justifying the faith shown in him by Mallya, who made sure that he came to B'lore

I prefer this one

4.6 Ntini to Ganguly, OUT, timber! Ntini switches to over the wicket for Ganguly and fires it on a good length on middle stump line, Ganguly exposes all his stumps but plays far too early, the middle stump is flattened and the stump microphone is a mess
SC Ganguly b Ntini 2 (8b 0x4 0x6) SR: 25.00

so is a batsmen judged on how well he rotates the strike in a T20 game or how well he not only rotates the strikes but also put pressure on the bowlers by taking them on especially in a situation where you are playing for a win?

looking at Kol squad, it appears as if Gangu went for some of those bowlers who he thought would get him out .... too bad, he missed out on picking up Ntini

Shreevats Goswami from BRC is MOTM for 50 on debut, even though DD won the match. First instance of MOTM from the losing side in this IPL tournament, though there were candidates before this.

a comprehensive victory for Delhi over B'lore means that it has kept its chances for semis alive

good performances by Gambhir, Sehwag & McGrath with support from Dhavan & Mahroof were good enough to give Delhi 6 wins out of 12 games. The way they started the tourney, one would have hoped for a better position by now instead of having to win both its last two games to get into the semis

if they continue with the 50-50 win-loss ratio then they probably won't make it to the semis, as i said earlier, they need to win both its league games, along with maintaining a healthy NRR .... they have the work cut out for them. the good thing is that both the games are in Delhi

But I thaught that Mallya had been crying all over the dailies that he did not choose this team, and he never wanted these players and that he took a back seat during the auctions etc.etc............ So is he really now claiming to have braught Misbah??
