Yeah true. I was being cynical cos I had money on Bangalore, and they often lose matches with a run rate required of over 5Dunno, one boundary early in the over and it blows it wide open.
Yes indeedyNever in doubt with Bouch.
He can see a team home, that's for sure.Never in doubt with Bouch.
His South Africa's answer to Shahid Afridi. They can carry him but he might need to tighten his game up playing for this outfit. He can see a team home, that's for sure.
Pandey held his nerve, unlike van der Merwe
Agreed. As a Bangalore man, I was excited to see Ryder picked up. Think they've lost faith in them too early.Keep Ryder and Taylor there IMO.
It's fine on paper but it doesn't really happen with this team. Their internationals, even the ones that are supposed to be good at Twenty20s (White etc) never do anything. I reckon it's probably the team culture or management or something like that. You tend to cover most of the bases with those guys.
You get an aggressive keeper.
A batsman with controlled aggression that can also bowl a few tight overs.
A fantastic strike bowler.
And Rossco the T20 slogging machine.
That team culture is the main reason I throw Ryder and Taylor together, these guys have been playing with each other since youth grade cricket and through playing with each other should find a sense of comfort in the team setup. Boucher seems to succeed quite well in his own right while Steyn is worth the gamble considering he is possibly the best out and out quick bowler in the world (though I'd argue Malinga is the best in limited overs). It's fine on paper but it doesn't really happen with this team.
