It's more down to form really, you can't really be looking at T20 records. Russell has had an excellent start to his international career, a good series against AUS where he scored quick late-order runs and took wickets as well as being lively in the field. He is just an automatic pick, much more useful than the likes of Maxwell, van der Merwe and Bracewell (who isn't much of a LO bowler).

Some of these IPL team selections are just daft. How is Glenn Maxwell better than Andre Russell? How is out-of-form Cameron White or Daniel Harris better than JP Duminy? JP better play today or I'm gonna blow a gasket at the sheer idiocy.
Last time JP played in India, he couldnt hit the ball let alone get it off the square

Guy should be thankful he's got a contract

Hmm they're bowling the spinners so Pollard is hitting with the breeze too.

Some rather different games going on.

Super Dive.

Rohit needs to start pacing his innings better tbh. He either ends up having to play the hero/valiant fighter at the end or messes it up for his team mid way.

I do think it was the right decision to give the run out not out. Yes the bat is in the air on the frame when the bails are up. But you don't know the precise moment when the bails come off - it is somewhere between the two frames, on one the bat is down the other the bat is up.

At last the kind of game the IPL was dying for. Till this game almost every single game has been boring and one sided. The slow and low pitches having no small part to do with that.

Didnt they change the rules for this scenario when the bat bounces after being grounded? I had read about it

Anyone see what happened between Munaf Patel, Harbhajan and the umpires today? Not very good scenes at all. They basically managed to intimidate the umpires into going upstairs for a bowled decision, and although the right decision was made, it wasn't a good example for young kids watching, who may think that should a decision not go there way, they can bully the umpire into changing it.

Yes they did. If the bat is grounded and goes over the line and then raises and is in the air when the stumps are broken the batsmen shall be not out.

Wow just saw that incident, ridiculous behaviour from Harbhajan, Munaf and Karthik. They pretty much intimidated the umpire there.

Yeah, that was terrible behaviour from them. The umpires were being stupid and rigid too.
