LOL really poor show from Sachin, 1st he didnt allowed his opening partener to play his natural aggressive game, that guy cant play classy on drives, let him slog! Sachin wasted 7-8 balls when he was close to his 50, he didnt attempted any shot that could fetch more than a single in that period! So many double's on offer, he kept denying. and why he guided last ball of innings for just a single. and He is poor captain, we all know. Common with batting line up Mumbai has, 180 is not a good score if one of your batsmen go onto make 100. It felt like watching Sachin vs Kochi XI at his home ground.
Normally Sachin is not a good captain, I agree. But he didn't do much wrong today, and it was hardly his fault that Jacobs couldn't hit the ball off the square.

Blaming Sachin for that loss is ridiculous.

Didn't play well today, but overall I'm quite impressed by Jacobs, both in terms of batting and his keeping.

Happy Sachin scored a hundred, now got hundreds in all formats :). Also, Jadeja seems to be in pretty good touch right now. Caught a tiny bit of his batting in his last game and it was actually good.

sounds like that poster is maintaining the CW Sachin-balance.. For every over the top Sachin praise, there has to be an equally over the top Sachin criticism. :)

Jadeja has always done well in the IPL.

He is doing very well both with the bat and ball this year again.

He really got in the Indian team based on the IPL too and it was there where he was out of his depth and ***** .
So kind of worried again that he will earn a place back based on this IPL.
I kind of think his batting has improved. Kind of remember him scoring more off the edge than the middle of the bat in the first few seasons. Not sure.

How many guys have centuries in all 3 formats in international cricket? I think Gayle, Raina and Mahela.

Mumbai should consider replacing Jacobs with Franklin. They've got Rayadu to keep wickets. Have him open with Tendulkar and move everyone else one spot up the order.

Yeah agree!!

Should push either Sharma or Rayudu to open or even Satish.

Jacobs does not seem the kind who either is a natural really aggresive player or someone who will really go on and play a big innings.

And they can't rely on Pollard to bowl 4 overs every game as sooner or later like today it is going to back them bite on their ass.

And they can also then replace Satish with A T.Suman or a Moises Henrique/Aiden Blizzard if they have too.

Heaps more. Brad Hodge, Mike Hussey, AB Devilliers, Sanath Jayasuriya, Adam Gilchrist, Andrew Symonds...

Of course now Sachin after today.

And that's only people who have scored IPL centuries along with centuries in list A and first class matches.

Think about the English T20 tournament and Australian KFC Big Bash.
pretty sure vcs mentioned international cricket in his first post though, Joni.. :p

Well batted McCullum. Deserved MOTM IMO because he batted with the pressures of chasing. Yes, he got 20 less runs, but he won the game for his side.

Lets see if he can finally have a good IPL now. He has had a couple of real patchy ones but now he has two scores in three games so lets see what he can make of it. I think Ross Taylor might get a longer innings in the next game as well. I doubt Warne will keep him and Watson for the finish again. Yeah, Botha hasn't batted that badly either but at what strike rate? like 115? Watson and Taylor are capable of a 200 strike rate when they get it right. Geez, Tendulkar was something last night though. He has played for decades and he still seems to be improving his game. I am actually looking forward to some of these IPL games atm. Admittedly just for the original big names like Warne etc.

Botha's SR is 130 in this IPL, no issues with that at all surely?
