How on Earth can you make such a statement like that?most of the Indians do not want them to be playing.

It's pretty simple on that. 81% of Cricket's revenue come from India. BCCI want's to ensure that it gets a even bigger pie of it. They do not want any distractions to it. There is no big theory required to know why BCCI wants a slot in FTP.If it's an Indian league why are they trying to get a gap cleared in the FTP for it?
Staying in India you can actually see that. If it had a majority chunk of people supporting it then the Indian Media would have gone nuts on raising the issue and ensured the participation. At the time of Auctions such news came in, but without much support they simply fizzled out.How on Earth can you make such a statement like that?
And I do not want to have a discussion on the same here and destroy this thread. Rather we both can have a discussion on the same on messages here on cw?How on Earth can you make such a statement like that?
Well the issue is really tricky. Last year when IPL-3 snubbed the Pakistani players (A pathetic move) then after that there were many insensible remarks by Pakistani players for eg One Player said "These Hindu's have a mentality like this" etc on a talk show and many players declaring they will not play and then next day those same set of players they want to play for better relations bla bla. Loads of media reports came on same. Then inaction on 26/11 has also been a great determinant. If you want you can google. I can send you the links for same. These things have been highlighted here a lot and hence has not helped. Any support if there became even more smallYet there was plenty of support for the Pakistani players prior to the semi-final?
Presently no one gives a damn here that the Pakistani players are not playing. When there will be a concern you will get to see loads of themSo, anyone up to conducting a nationwide survey of India then?

For Dilhara?Mumbai Indians!!!
We are living in an increased Globalised world where capital is taken from around the planet and invested where it will be most utilised. That is why there is increased immigration for labour, FDI's etc. Pakistani players with their skills are another example of capital. That is why it's a shame. It's pretty simple on that. 81% of Cricket's revenue come from India. BCCI want's to ensure that it gets a even bigger pie of it. They do not want any distractions to it. For the Tendulkar and Malinga combination as well as the incredible hitting prowess of Symonds and Pollard. The dude in my avatar is probably somewhere in there as well. For Dilhara?
McKay for Franklin will make this a very strong side. They can open the batting with Pollard as well. Will they field a team like this?
01. Sachin Tendulkar*
02. Tirumalasetti Suman
03. Ambati Rayudu+
04. Andrew Symonds
05. Rohit Sharma
06. James Franklin
07. Kieron Pollard
08. Harbhajan Singh
09. Lasith Malinga
10. Munaf Patel
11. Abu Nechim
Could probably throw in the likes of Blizzard, Henriques, McKay, Dilhara and Davy Jacobs. Top squad IMO.
Maybe McKay and Sathish in for Franklin and Abu Nechim. Strengthens the batting without really weakening the bowling that much.McKay for Franklin will make this a very strong side. They can open the batting with Pollard as well.
