What a great yorker to Vijay by RP Singh. Its just baffles me that fast bowlers nowadays dont bowl yorkers at the start of the innings. I think yorker is one of the best delivery to bowl when a player is new to crease.

Not being following much of IPL for the last few weeks. Feel its going to be Chennai or Kolkata winning the whole deal.

Why is Gambhir reluctant to open the innings? Or send Yusuf any higher than five? If Cricinfo is to be believed, Gambhir himself is responsible for coming so low down the order, match after match. He won't get too many big scores from there, and that first T20 hundred will elude him. For one of India's premier batsmen, T20 or outside of it, he's had no century, which should be a matter of concern. An opening of Gambhir and Yusuf Pathan can't go wrong, especially when they're the two most expensive players (over the $2M mark) for Kolkata.

Haha Tiwary being made to look clueless here. I approve.
Would you call Saurabh Tiwary a sidelined casualty? He's had very little to do in this IPL, batting at four and five, and h as consequently struggled to get the runs on the board. From someone who was tipped as a national T20 prospect, and someone to immediately replace the struggling Yusuf Pathan, he's now struggling to make a comeback into the national side. First few poor matches apart, he's had little to do with Gayle blasting things around and Dilshan holding an end up and tipping it over, but his struggle for form has been worrying.

That was more of an "emotional response" post, don't take it too seriously. :p I don't like his style at all. I think there are many, many players who should be given chances in the ODI setup over him, FTR. Not too sure about T20Is.

You're not the only one, mate. The whole sporting media has written him off. He's one of those youngsters who's actually good for T20 and a serious prospect, with the lack of capable T20 players in the country. Seeing him struggle, given the lack of opportunities in the Bangalore XI, isn't so good. We don't want to lose one more T20I prospect because of the conservative (or at times baffling) approach of the IPL franchises.

Iqbal Abdulla is so winning that U-23 Player of the Tournament award. Superb tournament from him. I suppose Kohli could win it too, but yeah, I'm gunning for Abdulla.

Cracking pull shot from Pandey earlier against Lee, had so much time to play that. But, his left arm spinner weakness came into play again. Brilliant setup from Abdulla to get him out.
