You are forgetting Australia and South Africa, the best 2 teams in the world. They are better than India. And I think Australia would be favorites for the World Cup with South Africa and Sri Lanka next up. Anyway everyone in India seems to be on top of the world now they are 2-2 with the mighty WIndies...

congradulations to India for their run chase victory - any team that chases a 300+ score and gets close (let alone winning) deserves some credit for their nerve & batting as too often we see collapses as evidenced by NZ V Australia in the ICC Trophy.....

by the same token I find it a bit hard to swallow that a team can't defend a total that demands a chase that starts at a run rate of 6 per over!!!!!

India's bowling attack may rate along side NZ's & England's based on the strength of their spinners, but their seamers are not up to the same level - Bond & Cairns are both ahead of any seamer in the Indian team.

I guess we will get a good indication next month!!!!

Jokes aside, look this series is being played on total dead tracks, none of the 7-8 pacers from both the team have been able to impress, infact even put up a decent performance, thus it will take one longer to even get a fair idea of a player.But in the longer run Balaji will prove to be a class player, i have full faith in him!

Well back on the topic, Lakshmipathy Balaji is playing today, opening the bowling with Srinath.

Lets see what he can do.

Balaji: Right Arm Medium Fast for Tamil Nadu

FC Bowling: 50 Wickets at 27.88 RPO: 2.7
OD Bowling: 22 Wickets at 25 RPO: 4.29

Pretty good for docile and dead Indian Tracks with plenty of good batsman galore.

Yeah and i'm sticking to it! In onedayers (not tests)India are right at the top at the moment.Just a few months back India won the ICC trophy.The batting is SO STRONG that it can chase any total against any team!
