Sehwag309, I read on cricinfo that it is extremely dark. Should the players be off? And also regarding the Sachin decision, did he not nick it?

NO, Even on 1st LOOK, it was easy to judge that its not out, snicko was sleeping, Only razzaq appealed, no nick

And before this he was complaining abt the light and Buknor missed it himself due to the fading light, I cant believe the umpire raised his finger...unbelievable

Light is realluy bad out there

" Tendulkar walks away shaking his head, tv replays clearly indicate
that the ball swung away after passing the bat, Bucknor gets it
terribly wrong on this occasion"

AND CHECK THIS OUT< after Sachins Dismissal, they are discussing abt the light

..thats the most common infact

BBW, instead of LBW...

Seriosuly, the Jamaican messed it up miserably this time...

NOW, light offered and Players walk off.....I really feel for Sachin

(If it's any consolation, Sachin was out to Kaneria in the 1st TEST but was not given out..so Karma does happen but with Sachin, its more on the negative side)

Well at least India managed to settle well thanks to Sachin and Dravid after Gambhir and Sehwag fell, and Dravid got his 50 just before the end of play which is great. He's in fine form. India are in a good position, and with Laxman still in the shed, one would hope that we can get a fairly large lead in as little overs as possible, giving us ample time to bowl out Pakistan.

People always say Indians complain about Bucknor and think he has something against the, OK..he doesn't but can u blame us when u see decisions like these..and this is not the 1st time..

He has given ridicolous decisons and he was playing so well!, and after telling him couple times that he really can't see, its seems Bucknor fell in low light trap himself, how the hell did he raise that finger is beyond beleif...its almost like someone threatning him to give on of those guys out..

No wonder this guy got death threats in South Africa

High time to retire, Mr. Bucknor

Hi everyone,
It's my first post on this forum. I have been a silent observer for the last few weeks. But today's utterly dismal and appalling decision by Steve Bucknor has pained me to no ends and I just need a way to vent off my anger. I was so pumped up, I really would have smashed Afridi for creating a scene there in order to distract Dravid, I am just hoping Pathan gets him on a duck.

The ball was atleast 2-3 inches away when it went past the bat, there was no sound, no appeals except from the bowler. I think if Razzaq would not have persisted, he would have turned it down and I believe he had judged Tendulkar not out in the beginning. Neither anyone from the slip cordon, nor the wicket-keeper cared even for a half hearted appeal. Cmon Mr. Bucknor, you could have done better than that.

It has been a thing with Bucknor for some time that he trusts the loudness and the persistence of the appeal more than his own senses. No doubt, he was a very good umpire in the past, but over the years his eyes have constantly betrayed him. Now it's up to him, to retire now and save himself from the disgrace that will follow, or watch himself fade into oblivion. I see him picking the latter option.

Just wondering, has Bucknor or for that matter any other umpire owed up their wrong decisions after the game is over.

It might sound funny, but I even thought of starting a petition online against him, but decided against it. May be I am getting too agitated :@ .

Sheppard did when Pak Media voiced a concern, during their match against Australia...like to see Indian Media writing something really tough about Bucknor

Thanks for the info 309. Before this decision, I was saying to myself that Bucknor has been good so far except for the no ball decision against Sami or Razzaq when he indicated that the foot was 3-4 inches out, and in reality it was the other way round.
I would like to think of it as a coincidence, but most of Bucknor's shoddy decisions have come against India. Btw, do you know what the Afridi-Dravid ruckus was all about?
