Second fastest hundred, and the next ball and he's out. Gets standing ovation

Yeah sure.honestbharani said:Its fairly obvious what India have to do from now. Go for broke with our bowlers. I don't think it matters if we lose with 5 overs to spare or with 25. I remember a certain final at Singapore when Pakistan only made 214 and Jayasuriya made his world record fastest 50.... They were around 90/1 at the 10 over mark. Pakistan still won that game. India should try similar tactics (not that they have any choice) and go for broke.

Much better crowd than the one in Ahmedabad.SJS said:Note that
See the problem is, they must have decided that Dravid is not to get out. So Kaif had to go for the big shots when the time came. Unfortunately, Kaif is not the BIG BIG hitter like Yuvraj or Ganguly or Dhoni or even Mongia. Dravid is better ctually. He lifts pretty well over extra cover, long off and even straight sometimes but he, must not be wanting to go (he is leading remember) and then have a collapse.)Beleg said:SJS,
Indians missed a trick there. When Mongia went after Arshad Khan, he did it almost effortlessly and as elegantly as anyone. But than again, after losing four wickets in quick succession on a pitch which was helping the seamers, counter-attack does not enter your mind. Still, in the later stages, the hitting started way too late for my liking. That and the fact that India doesn't exactly have much fire-power lower down the order is the reason they scored below 250.
It is important for the Pakistanies to not make the same mistake India made at Calcutta - get too defensive.
