My Indian team for next game would be,

Tendulkar
Gambhir
Ganguly
Laxman
Kaif
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Ajit
Karthick
Z Khan
Nehra.

I just wanna see how ur team perform without Sehwag and Dravid :D

.
Surely a wish of a Pakistani :p

Wait till Sehwag returns in next match and torments Pak bowlers.

Watch out Rana, you will be taken to cleaners and will be Sehwaged!

Oh God 8-) !

Just out of curosity, i'm not sure what would be more desasterous for India in next match. Sehwag not playing for India or your beloved hero IKP BOWLING TEN overs for India???

Just one bad match and you all start whingning. Sami has been a poor bowler throughout his career, he produced one good ball to dismiss Dravid and everyone is all over moon on it 8-)

No, no, it's the other way around. Sami has been a little unlucky in this tour so far, whereas, Pathan has only performed well against Bangladesh-- which is shame when you consider him a true living Legend.

Ofcourse, when it comes to Pak its always a case of being unlucky....very convenient.

IKP had a good series in Pakistan... Just to remind u :p Youhanna was said to suffer from nightmares!

IKP has just one bad series, the current one, one can't rule someone out so quickly.

Unlucky in terms of how the pitch has been "no help" for fast bowlers, and still if you compare their stats, Sami is on top.

That's about the only good series where he's played well where it wasn't a poor team because his performance against minnows has helped him a lot in ameliorating his mediocre bowling average.

One disappointment, however, was again Afridi. Either he should be
dropped or played lower-down the order.
I don't understand the logic in moving him from where he had been reasonably successful.

IKP might have a ordinary match with the ball, but IKP did fantastic with the bat.
Oh great, some runs when the game was already well lost!

GladiatrsInBlue said:
Made his first ever fifty, these are signs of IKP slowly developing into an allrounder.
Erm, all-rounders have to able to bowl AND bat...

IKP did not have a good series, but keep in mind that the wkts in India hardly helped the fast bowlers.I'm sure IKP will be back to his best in the next series.
What exactly is his best though?

Try to save him you dont-know-why-I-like-IKP-maybe-its-his-cute-looks fan-club :D

Just kidding...but I still dont get what is the big deal about Irfan?I mean AA had better start to his career with 50 fastest ODI wickets at a then avg of 22,now he's on 202 wickets at 28-something avg which is not at all bad...but people dont want to acknowledge AA's efforts, instead they'll try to find another hero...I wonder why

Re: Afridi

It may possibly have something to do with Afridi's success at Calcutta and the knee-jerk reaction it elicted from almost everyone back home. (nonwithstanding the fact that team management aught to realize better than anybody else that test cricket and ODI's are two totally different ball games)

Another reason is perhaps they don't want to take a risk with Afridi at No. 7 where he holds out in the deep with a 0 against his name instead of a quick-fire 15-20 which he normally makes. This too has both pro's and cons going against it, i.e the importance of 12-16 runs and a quick start/confidence boaster and the fact that if you don't entrust him to bad with an iota of his sense than he shouldn't be playing in the first place. (not to mention that partnership of 20-30 should still be unacceptable for a professional team)

Knowing Pakistani administration, perhaps they don't feel confident enough in Malik's opening abilities due to some unknown unreason or internal power tussle? (know it sounds like a crackpot conspiracy theory but such things have been shown to have happened before and with Pakistani management you never know)

How can I, he is in Pakistan isn't he?

If I knew, I would have made lots of Cash by now, but the series is making it easy for us to see how its going

Can anyone possibly do worse? Pathan probably made sure that the bowler the fits his shoes in the next match feels very comfortable.
Pathan is definitely the front-runner for the title of Most Pathetic Bowler of the series. Someone should tell him that a 5-wicket haul against friggin bangladesh doesnt make him a superstar.
