Have you heard about DirectTV's CricketTicket? You pay a certain price and I heard you get all the international cricket that goes on for 120 days. Sounds like a pretty good deal. On the other hand, Doordarshan just said that they're eager to take a partner channel to telecast the series.

Irfan Pathan and Balaji haven't taken a 100 test wickets either and didn't both them end up leaving Pakistan last year with 12 wickets from the test series? Even Zaks has only 101 test wickets so I'm sorry to say that your statement doesn't make much sense. You're doing the same thing the Pakistanis did to us last year when they underestimated our bowling attack due to inexperience. All I have to say is that it's gonna bite you in the rear end if you don't watch your mouth.

What you say makes no sense to me, and infact some of the stuff that you said happens to be entirely incorrect.

I NEVER said that every bowler in a team must have more than 100 wkts, but i do consider it important for a couple of bowlers in a team to have 100 plus wkts.Why? because it shows how experianced the bowlers happen to be. Experiance is what you need in a high profile pressure series like the one between India and Pakistan.

To say that Pakistan lost to India because it underestimated India is laughable, is this explaination also been put up for Pak's home losses to Sl, Aus and even Zimbabwe?
The team that visited Pakistan had Kumble that had more than 300 Test wkts. Irfan and Balaji might have been new but Kumble and Khan were the one's that were experianced.

Why do you think ppl like Imran,Miandad,Mushtaq,Sarfraz are all saying that Pak bowlers can't get 20 Indian wkts in a test match????? Surely inexperiance in Khaleel,Rana and others must have been a factor which has inflenced their opinion.

Neither Pathan nor Balaji should be in the side. They have been found wanting in the recent past, while Gagandeep, SS Paul, RP Singh, RR Bose, blast from the past NP Singh and a frontline batsman- JP Yadav, have outperformed them.

so no chance that any other channel than dd will SHOW the series?that would be a disaster cuz you can only see dd if you are in india and not anywhere else!cricket would be the looser!

An interesting article on Zaheer's return. Very long, but good comments, particularly about the incoming delivery and the follow-through. He's not that great, nor is he much good on the field, but if he bowls the way he did in 2002, or in Brisbane in 2003, he can be a beter bowler than he is now. With RP Singh and SS Paul on the verge of national selection, he cannot afford to be weak on the field. Your feedback?

I'm sorry if I sounded kind of hostile but I just felt we shouldn't be that overconfident- what you say may be true but don't believe it until the series begins and it's proven. Otherwise, you're not going to take it well if India loses. Again I apoligize for being a little rude.

And Shahid Afridi- no I'm sure there will be other channels that will broadcast it.

Zaheer is the best indian bowler to see in form- when he's at his best he's far more destructive than Pathan. I think he's gotten back into rhythm now with the Duleep matches. But he needs to continue the good work, just like Pathan, Balaji, and Nehra, because there is no room to cement places for them in the team when there are guys like SS Paul who rarely ever has an economy above 3 in one-days.

He sprays the ball too much, and that's why he's never got his average under 30, but he is capable of getting it to a minimum of 25 if he sticks to a line and length. Why NP, his own form in 2002 was very good- he averaged 29, played 15 Tests and got 51 wickets, almost half the number of wickets in his entire career, and also his 5/95 in Brisbane. That's when things worked for him.

He didn't make the Duleep South Zone side, maybe because he was too old and he's no India prospect. The one who did was RP Singh, for Central, from UP.
