Clearly none of you remember Ajay Ratra's ton in WI. Around 70% of his runs were edges. Moeen and Vihari have played masterpieces by comparison.
Never watched him play but I see the dude has a fantastic record. 166 runs in 10 innings makes the 2010s English openers seem like Bradmans.

pietersen's 100 at Faisalabad in 2005 is the worst century i've seen. pretty sure on 100 he gave a dolly to yousuf at mid off who dropped it then played the exact same short the next ball and got out.

Fun fact: Hanuma Vihari played 2 seasons at the same Essex club as Nasser Hussain’s son.

My family have played for the same club for 4 generations. Vihari was churning out runs when I was over in 2014 and the one time I went to see him he was caught behind for 8.

Well battled that lad. Can't say well batted as much of it has been streaky but he has dug in and kept at it which many of the Indian side haven't done all series.

Is Dharmasena a good umpire now? That was a very good decision... I was sure it was a nick, seemed to be a noise when it passed the bat too.

50 on debut to vindicate giving Karun Nair a holiday in England for a couple of months than another chance to prove his 300 was a fluke. :D

Vihari far less jammy than yesterday. Hopefully that initial jamminess was just nervousness instead of genuinely poor technique.

Jadeja's been excellent. Been lucky as well but so has literally every single batsman from both sides.

The biggest thing for me was early today when he clearly read a Broad inswinger out the hand and played a perfect forward defense to it. Those were the balls he struggled big time against yesterday and he's already solved the issue to an extent. Great adaptability and awareness.

Edit: ah **** just as I typed this

Good fight but it all feels so futile. We'll manage to lose even if they only set us 150 in the 4th innings.
