*Official* India Tour of England 2018

S.Kennedy

International Vice-Captain
I suppose India wanted to pull off a ''3-2 respectability'' a la the Aussies in 2015, although they look rather shot.

If England lose heavily in Sri Lanka and the Windies what are the odds of Buttler being made captain. Seems like a much more natural fit and it's such a shame he wasn't around when the selection was being made for whatever reasons.

Depends on Root, he'd have to be the one to give it up. At this point he has to be at least suspecting that captaincy has not been his ally to his batting.

I'd wait to see a little more of this Vihari, before dismissing him as a waste of space in a test team.
Though I certainly don't buy the excuse that he wouldn't have faced bowling this fast earlier in his career: this English bowling is not fast enough for that.

So Anderson needs three more wickets to go past McGrath, and Anderson+Broad need seven more wickets to get to 1000 wickets for their partnership.
Something to look forward to, in this test match.

Just realized that Clouderson hasn't got Kohli even once in the series so far. After that interview in India, this is embarrassing. Dropped catches yeah but still.

Rohit Sharma would be the happiest person now. If he was selected for this test series then his test carrier would have finished by end of this tour.

I don't think it's the pace. I doubt the ball moves around like it has here or that there is anyone as accurate and lethal at exploiting in the Ranji.

It's massive step up and probably the hardest place to come for a sub continental batsman but thats why it's test cricket.

He did look completely out of his depth for the first 50 deliveries though.

Cricinfo put up a stat just yesterday saying he beat Kohli's bat 1 in every 5 deliveries bowled to him.

The contest between the two was easily the best part of the series.

Very revealing interview with Cook again. Like Gary Kirsten got respect for the battles these types go through and then when you think their test careers were over they produced and kept going again. Dealing with failure so important.

Absolutely nothing embarrassing about Anderson’s bowling in this series. Really enjoyed the contest between two quality players.

Clearly none of you remember Ajay Ratra's ton in WI. Around 70% of his runs were edges. Moeen and Vihari have played masterpieces by comparison.
