I think if both sides keep playing four bowlers there will be a heap of overs from the spinners. I think Lyon bowled 26 or 28 today already

Are you really taking me seriously

Anyways someone needs to point me to free highlights. Game basically starts and ends while I'm at work. ****ing sucks.

TOTAB on the radio now just asked what he would have said to rohit

Said he would have waited about 90 seconds then walked up and said “Do you actually want to play test cricket or not?”

The great man calling it as it is. Alpha as it gets.
I think Rohit would have been asked this question 100s of times in his career ( most frequently by the likes of Gavaskar and Shastri). He simply is not good enough to implement what is required to succeed at the test level and more importantly understands the same. Hence he is least likely to take this seriously.

Yeah AB is going a bit senile if he thinks that's some master stroke kick up the bum that Rohit needs to succeed

Tbf AB had to tone down what he would have actually said for public consumption. Would have torn him a new one in the 80s. Especially if he was a soft Victorian.

Yea but calling Rohit lazy, dumb and unmotivated isn't something he's going to hear for the first time. He's a multimillionaire and people still love him,see these Instagram posts for instance:

Fantastic display of old school batting from Pujara, showed great discipline and reaped his rewards and demonstrated to his fellow top order batsmen what can be achieved with a bit of patience and intelligent shot selection.

The Aussies were very good throughout making Pujara work for every run and were gifted a few wickets in the opening session. Hazlewood was probably the pick for me, bowled excellent areas all day long.

Rahane has to be dropped if this team wants to win more consistently. That's just the truth. Bring in Karun Nair for all I care.

Bring back Mohammad Kaif IMO

Don't really think we have any solutions. Our most talented batsmen right now also can't seem to grind out runs. I think cricket in India at the moment doesn't produce players who are good at adapting and grinding. Pujara is such a rare gift.
Yea its an ego thing. Also, some of the 'new age coaches' in India teach batsmen to be aggressive. I noticed this shift even before the IPL when the Dhoni era ushered in. Back in the 90's, if you were getting coached by a half decent coach in Bombay, he would insist on ground strokes and a still head, watch the ball, relax etc. and then gradually manipulate the field....slowly the paradigm shifted to being aggressive, playing whacko strokes etc. I would not entirely blame T20 for this. It's grassroots coaching and an overall decline in the quality of bowlers.

Going from listening to England's commentators when India toured them to now listening to Australia's.....wow, pretty big step down, man.

Fantastic day of Test cricket. If the Aussies can get the last wicket ASAP, then they have a good chance to get a 70-80 run lead with a score of 320-330. I can see one good innings by a khwaja or a smarsh being the glue followed by some good lower order runs by Cummins and /or Paine. The timing of the innings matters too, If Aus can bat 4-5 sessions, it means India would bat during the afternoon, probably with their energies low. Good time for the bowlers to add some pressure and get wickets. On the flipside, the Aussie line up could collapse if the openers fall cheaply. Great prospects for this match overall.

Yeah but I mean, Gavaskar and Shastri are Beta as it gets. It’s one thing to have it said to you by then, quite another by TOTAB. He’s Alpha in Excelsis.
