Sorry, but selectors definitely have it in for Maxwell if the batting order in the press is to believe. Maxwell batting at 7 means he'll either have no choice but to slog every thing for a couple of overs or bat with a very long tail
I forgot about the 3rd option that he doesnt even get a bat :(

the bigger issue is that carey is opening for no real reason. everyone could bat one higher spot* and he goes in at 7 and the team wouldn't get worse

*maxwell and stonis would swap

man reading this thread you wouldn't have imagined that Maxwell's ODI record since the last wc is terrible
