Mike Veletta played a couple of Tests at No 3 - someone who played 8 Tests without reaching 40.Is Marnus our worst #3 of all-time?

It certainly wasn't as good as the Quiney 9.Very good start thus far.
Worst 9 of all time?
Played an important part in the 87 WC win. Made (not surprisingly) 40 odd in the final iirc.Mike Veletta played a couple of Tests at No 3 - someone who played 8 Tests without reaching 40.
Maxwell at three in the UAE was horrific.Very good start thus far.

With KL Rahul and his current form, India are already going in with a 10 man side....they do not need to go in with only two pace bowlers on top of that.
Yeah......0, 4, 33*, 16, 26*, 17, 13, 14, 2, 44, 2, 0
These are the last 12 scores across all formats for KL Rahul.
Let's be clear. This is what they chose for a Test match, trying to accomplish something they have never accomplished in their 100 year history. Winning a Test series in Australia is the single biggest achievement in cricket.

Another bowler would have been better than KL Rahul. The bowling attack looks so much weaker without Ishant. Really wished we played 5 bowlers somehow. Big innings needed first up with this combination
Very few these days. Rest are all the same aren’t they?Pujara must be one of the only bats around who's stance still has his bat down low to the ground.
Warner also. Any more?
Headingley 81. One of the ingredients of the perfect storm.I didn't even realise this had happened. It definitely beats out the blokes I listed and Marnus IMO.
