I've chatted with Jono via whatsapp and asked him to come back for the Aus-India series.
He said he'll have a think about it but he's got used to not being on here these days.
He also stipulated that if he does return, it's on the condition the following posters are banned. His reasons are in parentheses:
***** (obviously. And too beta as well)
h_hurricane (just a punish)
weldone (see ***** and h_hurricane)
honestbharani (just in case)
sanz (see HB)
sunilz (even tour threads have their limits)
Migara (no real explanation needed)
J_C (allowed in draft threads, because no one cares about them)
OverratedSanity and any other Precam multis (again, obvious)
Any poster who defends Chennai as a city and/ or cricket venue (we need a return to rational debate)
Borges (adds nothing)

Anyone who has 50% or more of their posts in draft threads
Gomez656 (basically a bot)
Ikki (politics subbie only)
GIMH (politics subbie only).
Jono also indicated that his return is conditional upon each of the following being placed on a strict watch list to ensure their posting meets the standards he (and I for that matter) expects:

Now, obviously Jono's views in this regard will cause a bit of blow-back from those whom he rightly doesn't rate, but I'm only passing on what he's told me, so it's important not to get Beta-antsy at me over this.
