The one Sachin got in England last time was not much better either. That is possibly the worst decision I have seen. Equals the one with Qadir and the English batsman.

That's my point - I can kind of see where people are coming from when it comes to HawkEye's predictiv element (even if I think their opinion is nonsense) but you don't even need HawkEye to tell you that wasn't going anywhere near the stumps. If only there was some kind of ball-tracking system that could be used to assess mechanically whether it was likely that the ball would have gone on to hit the stumps.
Ahh, if only.
A Koertzen special. The worst umpiring decision I ever personally saw was Sangakarra in Australia...he was on 192.....it was so horrible.
7:30A Koertzen special.
Leaving the context aside I don't think it was as poor as this one, though.
Mmm. Chanders one was definitely worse.
Have to admit I'm confused by your second paragraph.I doubt anyone is disagreeing with what you are saying there ,GF.
But wanting every decision to be referred to Ball tracking seems to be holding back the implementation of it atleast so much that shockers and howlers can be eliminated. (Udrs is not only for shockers blah blah blah etc..)
Besides is it clear that the LBW's without ball tracking can't be referred in the England - India series?
Would be stupid if they were not.
Yeah.. sadly when his batting has improved so much that it actually has saved our arses quite a few times, his bowling has gone down...Harbhajan is looking so innocuous right now.. no flight, no dip, no drift, no turn, no bounce, no doosra, no nothing.
Have to admit I'm confused by your second paragraph.
When it comes to LBWs I'm not sure what can and cannot be referred. I know the BCCI don't like the predictive element of HawkEye but IMO it would be a nonsense not to use HawkEye to track deliveries up to the point of impact. It would be a farce if that wasn't implemented.
Well.. Dhoni got a poor one in the first innings as well, TBF. And accepted the blame for a wrong choice of shot when asked about it.So would Dhoni thank the umpires today?
You don't even need to use Hawkeye or Virtual eye(which is better till point of impact) for these kind of decisions ,just a normal pitch map with slow motion camera would do.Have to admit I'm confused by your second paragraph.
