Makes up for it with Jaffer's wicket.
He really deserved it. Poor guy's been bowling very well in this innings but has been resisted by Jaffer's supreme effort. Good stuff.

West Indies have the advantage now with two relatively new batsmen at the crease. Just depends on how well they bowl and if they take their chances.

At tea, India are on 378-4 with a lead of 248 and 39 overs remaining today. With the late wickets, we can't quite launch yet. India should look to score at around 3.5 an over for the next 15 overs to reach a ~300 lead with 25 overs to go. If things go to plan, we can then accelerate and try to reach 350-375. Having 5-10 overs at the end to have a go at the WI will be a bonus.

India need a minimum of 120 runs in next 25-30 overs, I have a feeling that even that may not enough to win the test. Please keep in mind that there is a guy named LARA in the opposite team and he has scored 375 and 400 on this ground.

Right but neither of that was on the 5th day, and with the time pressure that they will have. Not saying they can't chase 300-350, but its not the same as if they were batting first. I do think that any lead of 325 or more is pretty safe. It's not easy scoring at 4 runs an over for an entire day, on the 5th day of a test match...even if the pitch is still good.

Uhh 27 overs to go, 269 lead right now. I don't see India declaring before the end of today's play. 2 an over will take us to 323. 3 an over will take us to 350. 4 an over will take us to 377.

More realistically, less than 27 overs today because of the lost time. Basically, we need to have 350 by the end of the day. Anything extra is bonus. WI should have to chase 350+ on the 5th day.

Now that Dhoni is in, you can be sure something is going to happen. Either the scoring rate will increase or wickets will fall.

Looks like the launch has begun. 18 overs to go and the lead is 318 right now. At 4 an over, that would put us at 390 at the end of the day. Considering that we are scoring at more than 4 an over right now and that 375 should be an adequate lead, there is a chance we'll have 5 overs to attack at the end of the day.

Hilarious stuff from Dhoni here. Almost killed both Dave Mohammed and Asad Rauf with that last shot. Someone arrest the man.

Double wind-up baby! Windies fans cheering with fond memories of Viv Richards.
DMAS is about to go extinct and Mohammed needs a psychiatrist.
There goes the 3rd consecutive 6. I might not survive this.
