What's wrong with this guy....?
Collymore will share the new ball with Edwards (Bradshaw had shared it in the first essay and bowled pretty poorly). Collymore bowled really well in the first essay, hitting the channel outside the offstump and moving it either in or out to trouble the batsmen.
adharcric said:You all are entitled to curse Sreesanth, Munaf, VRV, Chappell, Dravid, More or whoever the else you want to for poor performance, but stop taking this **** overboard. The same crap always happens. As someone said, sensationalism at its peak.
*Sreesanth obviously is having a terrible match but how can you say he has no potential? He troubled England and looked very good against Pakistan in the ODIs. IMO he's being given wrong instructions or he's unfit because his speed is down 5 mph.
*Munaf has still picked up three wickets. If he isn't one for the future (in tests) after a 23 average and 2.8 economy rate through 3 matches, you guys have issues. I'm concerned about his stamina, but despite that he's very talented and definitely good enough.
*VRV struggled early in his debut but he has come back pretty well today. Bowled a good line and got sharp bounce to take two wickets. If the management makes a stupid decision and plays him over a 200-wicket veteran in Harbhajan, don't blame him. He didn't do as well as Harbhajan would've done, but he showed promise today.
*You all act as if our bowlers have been rubbish ever since Chappell came in. Did you even watch the England series? There were two reasons we didn't get killed: good bowling and Rahul Dravid. Disgraceful.
Looking spot on. All West Indies need is to take 10 wickets in seven hours.JustTool said:My prediction:
1) 3-1/2 days is all it will take !
hmm vimesy there's still a day and an hourSamuel_Vimes said:Looking spot on. All West Indies need is to take 10 wickets in an hour.
Oops. Too keen to prove JT wrong that I forgot the middle of the third day != 3 1/2 dayssuperkingdave said:hmm vimesy there's still a day and an hour
I'm not defending their mistakes. Playing these 3 seamers was stupid. Resting Harbhajan was also stupid. If Sreesanth is unfit and he was still played, that was also stupid. I'm not rewarding mediocrity - trust me, I was very disappointed and ****ed by the bowling yesterday. Still, I won't react on the basis of one poor outing from these youngsters and say they are hopeless as you all are doing. I'm not anti-criticism, just anti-sensationalism.JustTool said:Are you watching the same match ? It's people like you that reward medicority and why Indian cricket will never rise to the level it should be. Yes, there is a lot of talent in India, but little sustained application (Dravid being an exception).
Why worry, when you can make money and there are people like you who will defend them...
Is Santh is not fit, why include him. If all 3 need time to mature WHY INCLUDE ALL THREE ? These are basic questions.

No, none of them were expected to be or have shown themselves to be express by international standards. Even in my sig, "Here comes the pace" speaks by Indian pace standards, where 90 mph is a rare, ridiculous sight. In England, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan or the West Indies, someone express (occasionally 90 mph) is pacy; in India, someone with the ability to go close to 90 twice a match and regularly go 85+ is pacy. Munaf bowled plenty in the high 80s against England and less so in this match. Sreesanth wasn't really hyped but he bowled around 86-87 (140 kph) against England; he's dropped off a lot in this match. VRV was hyped a lot along with Munaf, and he's bowled around 86 mph in this match. They are all RFM types right now. Well, in this match Sreesanth has been RMF.aussie said:is it me or are the likes of Patel, Sreesanth & VR Singh supposed to be faster than what they have shown to be thus far in their internaional careers?, well thats the impression i got from a few Indian fans on this forum before seeing them bowl in the series vs England, Pakistan & West Indies currently..
