Worst leave ever.

I want to know if there's ever been a case where a batsman has left the ball (from a fast bowler) and the ball ends up hitting the middle or even leg stump.

That would be the worst leave ever.

I thought a couple of those balls were going to hit the stumps...India are a bit unlucky here.

They need a breakthrough (or four).

I did that the other week.

Anyone see that LBW shout off Kumble? Absolutely nowhere near, but Hawkeye thought it were hitting leg...

And I admitted that they were bowling well. And then I furthur commented that they wouldn't be able to sustain that for the rest of my match.

Since adharcric, by making that post, was implying that my assessment of the quality of Indian bowling attack was in error, I added that although they were bowling well now, they would not be doing it throughout the match.

If, on the other hand, it was not his intention to challenge my assessment of the Indian bowlers, then my comment still stands on its own in simply that they were bowling well, but that it would not continue. I've been saying from the beginning that Indian bowlers can look OK for a little bit, and then fall into crapiness soon after.
Well, I was challenging your assessment of Indian bowlers because I got the impression that you think they're hopeless and harmless. Anyways, hasn't Munaf bowled well all day? Honest question there, I fell asleep for a few hours there ...

I do think they are hopeless and harmless. Munaf has bowled relatively well, though not amazingly, all day. He bowls a bad ball one too many times and that relieves the pressure. And he doesn't have enough variety in the type of things he wants to do. But he has kept to a good length, varied his pace nicely, and used the crease to good effect...so overall its a pretty good job.

Lets see if he can keep it up over five days...and more importantly lets see if anyone else decides to play or whether he'll be one person who bowls well this test while everyone else bowls rubbish (every test there's another person that bowls well, but no one else supports him).

Obvioulsy, when I say all this, I exclude Kumble. He's really the only one that shows something day in and day out. Bowls long spells, is accurate, and generally does what we need. I rate him as the most important player in the Indian team (ahead of even Dravid, Tendulkar, etc).

Agreed on that matter. Good batsmen aren't that difficult to find in India, but top-class bowlers who can trouble the best of the best on a consistent basis ... well that's a rare thing and that's Kumble for you.

Easiest way to know if the pitch is a road and subsequently a drawed game?

Daren Ganga scores runs.

The question was:

"I want to know if there's ever been a case where a batsman has left the ball (from a fast bowler) and the ball ends up hitting the middle or even leg stump." :p

So who said we were bowling impressively again?
What exactly were you insinuating there then?

I think it's always ridiculous to write off a Test match as a drawn result after the first day, unless there are severe thunderstorm about/a hurricane/a stampede of sheep.

This is cricket folks. Anything can happen.
