Yep, Bishop just read the law out. No idea about what the 3rd could have done.So it's not out if it hits the grill? I wasn't sure about that. I think it definitely hit the grill. Isn't there a way for the third umpire to reverse such decisions even without a review?
How did he get out?Yeah, although Ganguly's dismissal was not one a specialist bat would be proud of.
Stuck his bat out at a ball way outside off. Nothing shot. How did he get out?
Anyways good to see Vaas getting some wickets
Dravid was blindsided from it, but not going to castigate Warnapura just yet. It's possible he didn't know that particular law. Then that is terrible luck for Dravid and India and poor sportsmanship from the fielder. I am surprised that Dravid didn't catch it from where he was though.
It's entirely possible that neither Dravid nor the fielders knew that one. I didn't know that one at all (not that I'm an international cricketer!), and would just have assumed it was out -- after all, the helmet's just being worn by the fielder. If it was left on the ground, it's 5 runs, and everyone knows that! Then that is terrible luck for Dravid and India and poor sportsmanship from the fielder. I am surprised that Dravid didn't catch it from where he was standing though. If he had called for a review the decision would have been reversed.
yes .... thats the safest thing to bet on in the Indian teamSehwag to score a big one
