Should Smith be dropped? Discuss...
YES. No discussion necessary. Just look at his last few performances. Other Saffies have been dropped much sooner for this.Langeveldt said:Should Smith be dropped? Discuss...
Law of averages will catch with SAF...they can't play good all the time...somehow IND has figured out the law, except for the worse.silentstriker said:Can we watch something thats more of a contest please - like the first Ashes test for example?
Talk about murder, the English are quite lucky. I hope to God that we avoid three straight innings defeats in Test matches. But I'd best good money that we lose by an innings all three times.
Got nothing to do with luck. We just stink on these wickets (i.e real cricketing wickets).maxpower said:Law of averages will catch with SAF...they can't play good all the time...somehow IND has figured out the law, except for the worse.
Ive been discussing this with a lot of cricketing guys here in SA and as far as everyone is concerned they are normal decent tracks. Good for batsmen that like it coming on and give the bowlers encouragement. Its found funny that people are going on about pace and bounce.silentstriker said:New Rule
South Africa must bowl from 50 yards away, that way the pace and bounce will be something the Indian batsman are used to. Its unfair IMHO. ICC needs to step in.
Interesting that SAs attack is being used as an example of a faster attack than India. SA is generally considered a 'slow' attack. Pollock declining, Nel dropped a lot of pace from his most aggressive, Kallis isnt getting younger and Ntini is nore likely to be found in the high 130s than mid 140.silentstriker said:With other countries, I would be saying something like "Wow, thats a nice slower ball there by Ntini."
