How sad an indictment of Indian cricket it is when Dhoni, with his magnificent technique, looks like the batsman most capable of scoring?

International Coach
SRT's dismissal today was very unlucky on his part, and I feel sorry for him. Incidentley, it is only the 7th time he's batted at number 3 in 370 odd matches.

Barry Richards had an absolutely correct assessment of Indian cricket:

He said, it doesn't really matter who is captaining or coaching this team. I think India really need to look hard at themselves and their infrastructure. There is no reason why their players should be this unaccustomed to pace and bounce. They just all look like they don't want to be here when the ball is flying around and doing this.
I don't know if ball is doing all that much, maybe for IND. Other teams would not make it seem so hard to play on this wicket, I think IND fans just need to realise that the team may have talent on paper, but that talent is not gonna actualize in reality, because they are just below average group of playerd in reality. Oh and IND is always been a soft team when attacked.

I could say that Virender Sehwag has a problem with balls directed at his body. I could say Dravid has a problem with so-and-so delivery. The point is that you have to play to your strengths and cover your weaknesses.
LOL. He couldn't think of one.

this is absolute rubbish, why do they even bother with day/night games in SA? almost always theres a serious advantage for the team bowling 2nd. What a farce.
Seriously? The Indian batsmen can't handle pace and bounce. That's the problem! 8-)

TBH, I don't think they have the talent on paper either.

I wish SAF would play some spinners, to help the Indians out.
Only one we've got there is Smith. I think the crowd will hang him if he puts himself to bowl now.
