Agarkar say he wants an offside field, does good bowling outside off for most of the over. Last ball of the over he decides to put it on off-middle stump, and gives a four on the onside.adharcric said:Agarkar back to his best, guaranteeing a four-ball every over.
Gagandeep Singh, where are you?
For 49 no less.silentstriker said:Kumble - what a gun. No one else in our side can bowl. First ball too! And to Kallis no less.
Not sure if you're talking about tests or one-dayers, but you're spot on either way.Nnanden said:Zaheer, Sreesanth, Patel and Kumble should be the bowling line-up IMO.
He didn't play in the WC Final - he only played three games in the WC and one was against the Netherlands.Nnanden said:Kumble is an amazing bowler. So glad he`s back in ODIs, one feels he was only dropped because of the WC Final. Love Sreesanth and Kumble, and that`s saying a lot when you consider what I think of the Indian team.
Pretty much. With the old ball, Pathan is economical at best and expensive at worst - he'll have a very tough time taking wickets.Dravid said:I'm not liking how Pathan is bowling. He was wasted again by bringing him in with the old ball.
Khan and Sreesanth generally use the new-ball very well, and you can almost be guaranteed you`ll get a decent L&L with theatening movement. If you can only bowl with a new-ball in an ODI match, you should question that player`s place in the team IMO. Bracken is a fine example. Excells statistically with the new-cherry, but can keep it steady when McGrath and Lee use it.Dravid said:I'm not liking how Pathan is bowling. I've been whining about this for so long in the Indian Domestic Season threads. Apparently he doesn't have too much pace, but seriously that domestic average is awesome.silentstriker said:IMO Gagandeep Singh should get a call up. Just saw his FC stats after that article on cricinfo - very good.
Sreesanth isn't as bad as Pathan with the old ball imo so there could have been a trade.Nnanden said:Khan and Sreesanth generally use the new-ball very well, and you can almost be guaranteed you`ll get a decent L&L with theatening movement. I couldn`t have been more wrong. How very embarrasing. I remember him having a good tournament somewhere, playing one bad match and being dropped since. Don`t know why I thought it was the WC. Cheers.Dasa said:He didn't play in the WC Final - he only played three games in the WC and one was against the Netherlands.
He was dropped because he had made himself into a more attacking bowler in Test matches, but in doing so had lost some of the control that made him such a good ODI bowler. So far, it's looking as if he has that control back.
