Right now, I want to puke. Just curl up, and die. But I guess Ashes will now be a welcome respite. First I wasn't sure which to focus on more, but now I'm 100% sure which series I'll devote most of my time too.
Tbh, I was much more devastated when the Indian seamers gifted the CT semi-final to Australia with that pathetic display of bowling. Also, Mongia's crap against Australia in the DLF Cup. This match was pathetic but at least we know the Saffies bowled exceptionally well.

Yes, well the fact that our bowling sucks is a given. But our batting is now also crap? WTF do we have then?

We're ****. We're complete and utter crap. We wouldn't know class batting, bowling or fielding if it bit us in the ass (which it did). I am thoroughly disgusted, I had pegged them to lose, and perhaps even be dominated but what the **** was this? Domination is too lenient a word for what happened.

I mean Tendulkar wasn't even that good and he was the best one around. Top scores of 34, 14, and 18 with no one else reaching double figures. Jesus, I can't even imagine what the test series is going to be like.
Tell us how you really feel. Just kidding. I feel your pain. Pakistani fans have been in this situation plenty of times.

Look, give credit where its due. 248 is not the lowest total but it wasn't too bad an effort by the bowlers. Its the batsmen who are the problem, have been for a while now. The worse thing is, there isn't a solution in sight. They could bring back VVS but thats about it.

Pakistani team, from time to time does something extraordinary. Something amazing, like you know, win overseas. :-O

Don't worry SS and adharcric...we'll win the next three games. I believe in them. Honestly, I swear, before this series many times I have stated that we are gonna get completely anhilated and destroyed, but I take that back, I really think this Indian will pull of something special in the next 3 matches. No matter how utterly ridiculous and crap we were today ....I believe in them...

Now I really want to see how the Indian batting lineup responds in the 2nd ODI.
They haven't been owned, dominated, butchered and demolished into submission like this in a long, long time.

That's exactly what I mean, I expected a beating but not this bad... Honestly, I really believe they can pull off something, I am sounding ridiculous atm, but watch and see.

I really don't like the inclusion of Raina...please take him out!
I've been backing him all this time because I saw something special in him.
The reality is that he's either too raw or terribly out of form.
Barring a Cape Town 50, he MUST be dropped for Laxman.

Ah well.. I wasn't expecting a win but not another pathetic display.
Congrats to SA fans.. their team played well.

How did Zaheer bowl.. is he forever going to be just a domestic cricket bully ? I didn't really have my hopes up about him.. i remember last time he was gunning it in domestic and than came back and got hammered by pakistan. Lets hope the same thing doesn't happen or it might be time to say good-bye. Harbhajan.. he couldn't even maitain his low economy rate this match... we certainly don't expect many wickets from him. He's no more a strike bowler.
Batting was upto its usual standard as well. This team seems to have progressed even further backwards than how Gang and Wright left it. India's bowling was never good but at least batting was half decent. But now it seems like the case of who can outdo at being crap.

I guess tiem to bring out the conspiracy.. Greg Chappell sent to destroy the indian team by the aussies ?

If Raina gets owned again, I can see the possibility of Mongia going down with him.
In that case, bring back Laxman and bring in Badrinath. Yuvraj, why? :(

Zaheer bowled some really good deliveries but mixed in the short ones and the wide ones.
He's been very accurate of late so hopefully he keeps it up in international cricket.
Pity that Sreesanth probably won't get a match.

Don't know in a seamer friendly wicket.. 248 was probaly par score. If India had bowled well.. mgiht have even goten SA out for less than 220. . If indian bowling lineup can get someone out for under 250.. you get the feeling that a better bowling lineup might have been able to strict them to 200 or maybe even less.

Sure, a better bowling lineup might have done better but the point is, bowling is supposed to be the weak suit and we did alright in that respect. Like you said 250 might have been par for the wicket and the conditions.

Anyway, I don't think a change in the personnel is really going to change things that much. These guys just have to raise their game and try to compete. Dravid and Sachin have to take greater responsibility, which by all accounts they were doing today.

Guys, don't discount the brilliant pace bowling performance by the South African attack. We Indian fans have a habit of getting too caught up in the crapness of our own players every time we get owned instead of realizing that we were owned by quality opposition.
