***Official*** India in South Africa

Yeah costly drop by Smith and its not like this pitch is offering much assistance for the seamers now. Pollock was bemoaning its flatness from the outset but if they can snare Sachin early tomorrow and somehow restrict India to less then 250, game is still there for them. Pitch should worsen in the next couple of days, cracks and subsequent uneven bounce should appear but South Africa would like or need to set India at least 300 second time round to feel really comfortable of victory.

As it stands at the moment I can't see anything other than a century in wait for an Indian batsman and the draw.

India have a shot at a win if they bat fast tomorrow, and maybe the 4th day, setting a lead of 200 or so runs, and then hoping Kumble can exploit any cracks.

But thats highly unlikely. SA win at 30%, Draw at 60%, India win at 10%...especially considering the number of overs that are being lost to bad light.

Nah, I think the match is evenly poised with Tendulkar set at 46, Laxman and Ganguly still there, and the pitch looking pretty good for batsmen. Not to forget Dhoni and Kumble, both can a bat a fair bit. I say we'll make around 300 something.

But in order to go for the win, like SS said, we'll need to bat fast and look to get Prince early on in his innings. But yes, most likely it is a draw.

Poor guy, his mother must've been distributing sweets around the neighbourhood yesterday, now she's probably cursing BCCI.

I have to say, watching Sachin Tendulkar battle it out against Pollock and Andre Nel was an amazing experience. Spectecular bowling and batting by three world class players, that was some top class test cricket.

I am in total agreement with Barry Richards. The light definitely wasn't bad enough to go off.

Benson going off the field, some kind of heart problem or something. Do they replace umpires or what cause he can't continue right now, or atleast I don't think so

Usually if an umpire gets injured, he just swaps roles with third umpire. He might have to actually leave the ground though so I'm not sure what they would do.

Bizarre. Just got here and realized that I missed Tendulkar's 50 and play has stopped because of Benson. Is he alright?
