Good point...not sure. I don't know if he's the best option with the new ball though.
He can bowl yorkers and bouncers. It's not like Zaheer or Sreesanth have done anything with the new ball here.

This reminds me of the VRV Singh runs in the last match. That really killed them...I hope its not the reverse for us.

67 runs scored this morning..40 too many...ugh.

That was ridiculous. I don't like to bitch about umpiring, but we got robbed of two no-brainers and two others. Poor bowling today, but it shouldn't have mattered.

So you guys think we can get a lead? If we had bowled them about for about 40-50 runs ago, I might have said yes...but now I am not sure. SA have the psychological advantage now, with their tail scoring as it did.

Next time, watch the game before making trollish comments.
I've actually seen about 90% of this match so far. I admit the umpiring has been horrible - the Boucher lbw not given and the Ntini caught behind this morning not given were disgraceful at best and there were other questionable ones as well - but actually blaming the umpires for a team's poor performance is ridiculous and it really accomplishes nothing.

Unlucky umpiring is part of the game - it is bad luck and a team must learn to accept it and move on. That particular member has disgraced himself enough with accusations of bias all test match so it didn't shock me to see he had blamed the umpiring, but if India had bowled more consistently, it would not have mattered.

Symonds was out plumb lbw today and me, the biggest Andrew Symonds critic in history, hasn't mentioned it once in the other threads. Just cop it on the chin.

It'll depend on the first 10-15 overs. Jaffer and Sehwag need to survive the new ball because the pitch doesn't look too tough to bat on once the ball gets old.

So basically, we're screwed then.

That's true. Top-class teams shouldn't make excuses but rather keep up the good work and make the umpire give it out the second time. This was frustrating though - one or two close decisions are acceptable but two shockers and three other poor decisions is really pathetic. It's not that easy to pick up wickets. You're right though - I just thought you were coming in and making an ignorant comment like a few other posters on CW have in the past. :)

Hopefully Jaffer gets some magical inspiration from the extra chance given to him by the management and fires today. Hopefully. Umm, hopefully.
