No one has third mans nowadays as was pointed out by the commentators, but you're right. I had a go at Ponting for no third mans during the Ashes, so Dravid too is at fault.
Haha, 2005 Ashes? I went nuts at him for that. :p He`s fixed that blemish though.

How good is Sreesanth? I love him. His attitude is superb IMO, he provides the aggression India so badly needs (and perhaps makes up for the relaxed nature of the rest of the Indian team). ;)

I don`t care that he gives the batsmen stick, in fact I love that, I think it`s great that he gets fired up and takes it so seriously. Because he will applaud batsmen when they reach a milestone and generally be genuine on and off the field.

One more wicket before the new ball and we should be good. And then hopefully finish up the tail with the new ball, and get them out for around 300. That would be ideal.

My thoughts exactly.

I didn't see him 'walking all over'. A couple close calls maybe. Let's see this match.
You recorded the match right? Have a look back, I don't think we were watching the same test.

In either case, India need to post a huge total. The wicket is good, and should be great for batting on the 2nd and 3rd days...so they need to take up most of that time batting. If they can bat for day and a half, they should post 400+.

Great fightback from SA. Had the distinct feeling India were going to run all over them earlier.

How's the pitch been playing? I haven't had the chance to watch much.
The umpires robbed us about 4 times. We were owning this match

Cheers.

Gotta say, Sreesanth is a real find for India. I'd only seen a little bit of him before the DLF Cup, but he really impressed me in that tournament even though he was a bit wayward at times. Looked to have a fair bit more potential than Munaf or RP Singh, and he's a good bowler to watch as well. Was really good to see him have some success in the first test against SA.

India have certainly waited a fair while for a quality test seamer. Srinath was pretty good at his peak, but there's really not been anyone world class since Kapil. If he can get some support in the next few years India could finally develop a quality all-round attack. It'll be interesting to see how he goes in the long term in home conditions though, assuming the trend of seam-friendly pitches in India doesn't last.

Pretty much the same thing. I doubt we'll get the new ball today.

I think an important point brought up by the commentators is that if the batsmen go off for bad light, play will start 30 mins earlier tomorrow. If India have the new ball at that time, that will be their best chance to run through SA.

Mind you with Prince's current condition, probably best to go all out and try and get him out now, otherwise his cramp and whatever else is the problem with him will ease overnight and he'll be back tomorrow.
