Well played to VVS Laxman, holding the innings together. I feel that anything under 350 will be quite gettable for South Africa so they really need to get over 350 and then have Sreesanth and Zaheer bowl well with the new ball.
At least they're at 350. 400 will be a big milestone if they can get there. Partnership looking good.

South Africa won't be able to chase this down I wouldn't think, if India can't bowl them out before they get the runs then I will finally be able to understand why silentstriker get's so sick of the Indian bowling.

20 overs away for the next new ball...that will I think spell the end of our tail. If we can get 50 runs in that time, we'll have a decent lead of 420 or so runs.

20 overs is a lot of time . We should be able to get more than 50 I believe. Near 80-90 hopefully.

A potential worrying sign for India is that the pitch seems to have improved considerably for batting, and with the old ball, there don't seem to be any demons.

Is even a 400 lead safe?
