Don't get too carried away. That was the best pace bowling performance I've seen from an Indian in a long time, so he gets his due. He hasn't yet kept it up for a single game, let alone a series.
I'm just glad that you are prepared to give him credit IF he turns in a solid performance over the span of a test match.
In the past, Munaf and Sreesanth have bowled quite well and you've still bashed them.

I will acknowledge if he leads them to a win, but no apology unless there is a series victory in which they bowl consistently well.
Fair enough.

They've never bowled well in tandem throughout an entire match. Patches, sure. But you don't win overseas series by bowling in patches.

Yeah can one of you change your avatar? SS, why don't you find one of him in whites since you aren't a big fan of ODIs. 8-)
Here I'll change it... I'll look for a better pic of Dravid.

O wait nvm, SS changed...

Hey I just noticed it's all Sreesanth on this page!

Anyway, to add to that...frequently one or two of them have completely gone off their rockers (i.e Sreesanth just losing it in WI). He looked like he almost might before lunch but pulled it back and focused on the game instead of Nel.

Good point. I guess they could've done it against England but Sreesanth played the first test and Munaf played the second test.
They united in the third but Kumble did most of the damage there. Sreesanth was off-colour in the West Indies.

He definitely needs to work on the mental aspect, but he at least has the ability to match the trash-talk. It's not like Pathan sledging and then bowling a bouncer. ;)
As for his unique behavior on the field, I'm glad to see that he's extremely passionate about the game and takes his performance very seriously.

My complaint isn't with the latter part. I love to see him sledging everyone and be excited. Its when he lets it get to him and affect his bowling.

Right. Someone like Kumble should teach him how to be a fierce competitor and yet retain your composure.

Might as well join the party. I've had Warne for long enough. If Sachin scores a 100 this series though I'm going back to him.

Fair effort at clogging the thread with some garbage posting guys. :p

Anyway back to the cricket. A lot rests on VVS, if he can get the runs flowing after getting his eye in again, India can dominate this test match even more.

Remember there's not just a test to be one here, there's a series. If they win the first and also dominate SA and embarass them, it'll mentally hurt SA even more.

Tbh SS and I were having some legitimate discussion. :p

Laxman facing Ganguly's situation from the 1st innings.

Our primary target should be a lead of 350.

Well played to VVS Laxman, holding the innings together. I feel that anything under 350 will be quite gettable for South Africa so they really need to get over 350 and then have Sreesanth and Zaheer bowl well with the new ball.
