Shoot now it's hard to tell who's who!
I'm just glad that you are prepared to give him credit IF he turns in a solid performance over the span of a test match.silentstriker said:Don't get too carried away. That was the best pace bowling performance I've seen from an Indian in a long time, so he gets his due. He hasn't yet kept it up for a single game, let alone a series.
Fair enough.silentstriker said:I will acknowledge if he leads them to a win, but no apology unless there is a series victory in which they bowl consistently well.
Yeah can one of you change your avatar? SS, why don't you find one of him in whites since you aren't a big fan of ODIs.Turbinator said:Shoot now it's hard to tell who's who!
They've never bowled well in tandem throughout an entire match. Patches, sure. But you don't win overseas series by bowling in patches.adharcric said:I'm just glad that you are prepared to give him credit IF he turns in a solid performance over the span of a test match.
In the past, Munaf and Sreesanth have bowled quite well and you've still bashed them.
Here I'll change it... I'll look for a better pic of Dravid.adharcric said:Yeah can one of you change your avatar? SS, why don't you find one of him in whites since you aren't a big fan of ODIs.![]()

Anyway, to add to that...frequently one or two of them have completely gone off their rockers (i.e Sreesanth just losing it in WI). He looked like he almost might before lunch but pulled it back and focused on the game instead of Nel.silentstriker said:They've never bowled well in tandem throughout an entire match. Patches, sure. Good point. I guess they could've done it against England but Sreesanth played the first test and Munaf played the second test.silentstriker said:They've never bowled well in tandem throughout an entire match. Patches, sure. But you don't win overseas series by bowling in patches.
He definitely needs to work on the mental aspect, but he at least has the ability to match the trash-talk. It's not like Pathan sledging and then bowling a bouncer.silentstriker said:Anyway, to add to that...frequently one or two of them have completely gone off their rockers (i.e Sreesanth just losing it in WI). My complaint isn't with the latter part. I love to see him sledging everyone and be excited. Its when he lets it get to him and affect his bowling.adharcric said:He definitely needs to work on the mental aspect, but he at least has the ability to match the trash-talk. As for his unique behavior on the field, I'm glad to see that he's extremely passionate about the game and takes his performance very seriously.
Right. Someone like Kumble should teach him how to be a fierce competitor and yet retain your composure.silentstriker said:My complaint isn't with the latter part. I love to see him sledging everyone and be excited. Its when he lets it get to him and affect his bowling.
Tbh SS and I were having some legitimate discussion.Jono said:Fair effort at clogging the thread with some garbage posting guys.
Anyway back to the cricket. A lot rests on VVS, if he can get the runs flowing after getting his eye in again, India can dominate this test match even more.
Remember there's not just a test to be one here, there's a series. If they win the first and also dominate SA and embarass them, it'll mentally hurt SA even more.
