South Africa keep fighting all the time even when their batting does not have the experience and test match nous yet. I expect them to do well in the upcoming series, having been better for this run. NZ should watch out IMO.
beating saf has to feel well earnt, especially for an Asian team imo. It wouldn't feel right if it felt like beating only a slightly better version of the Zimboks despite their problems the past few years.

Isn't Rilee Rossouw coming back?
Simple answer no...

...long answer, he is a 32 batsman that was always consider better at LO than long format, who struggled in County. I think he has become a bit of a T20 mercenary. We also have many other much younger batsmen with talent to rather try and are likely to do better. I do think he is part of the new Free State provincial team, but unsure in what capacity. Not played any FC cricket as far as I can see.

Shaun Pollock mentioned during the broadcast that CSA should look to reintegrating ex Kolpaks into the national side in order to make it stronger. Not sure how much insider baseball he has on it, but he did name drop Rilee Rossouw as an example.

The only returning Kolpak players that likely could be selected is Olivier and maybe Harmer, outside chance of Abbott. Most of the batsmen are older, and are not special enough that they will make a big difference. We not talking bringing ABdV back here. We have young talented batsmen available in SA, we just actually need to select them.

south africa extremely weak batting lineup is the key issue for me. its similar to england's woes currently. india passed 300 1st dig on a bowler friendly track, so the IND batting lineup is fine

You guys talking about Saffer batting line up.. India is fielding its weakest batting unit since late 90's I reckon. Barring KL Rahul you can't count on anyone in the batting department. With Rohit gone situation is dire over here.
They have to kick Pujara at least for Joburg test.
