If Yousuf too gets a ton then it will be the sixth century of the match:wacko:

I guess ppl will then stop talking about Dhoni's innings and start wondering as to what was the purpose of playing 5 long days on such pitches?? Just to inflate individual averages???

Younis Khan is not a better batsmen than Miandad yet he has an average of over hundred against India, while Miandad's ave wasn't even close to it.

Likewise Sehwag is no Gavaskar, yet he averages over 100 against Pak, which Gavaskar wasn't even able to even dream of.

Looks like its becomming batsmen's game nowdays, over here in sub-continent.

IN earlier days, they use to slow down when they use to get to nineties, were called "nervous nineties". Now they accelerate when they get into nineties!!

The records (already taken) are gonna just wipe out all the previous (hard-earned) records

Now I know why Pak was asking ICC to have 6 days Matches

In the second test which ended when only two wickets had fallen (for 382) in Pakistans first innings (Australia had scored 617 in theirs), Australia were reduced to bowling all the eleven players including Marsh for 10 overs......

In the next game Pakistan used nine bowlers in the firsat innings and ten in the second including wicket keeper Taslim Arif !!
I didnt know when I posted this morning that before the end of the day we will have Dhoni bowling too

me too. And I don't think walking thrice or twice over a career spanning 16 years should earn Sachin the tag of being "sportive" etc. He doesn't usually walk, and he doesn't usually make a big fuss about wrong decisions given to him. I think that is fair enough, but there are a FEW people who deserve the tag "sporting" before him.

Maybe you could put some basic information on the front guest page where the news is. Number of active wrestlers ect - also do you own it?

Back to topic....

Most cricket people in Pakistan AND the Pak media are of the firm opinion that Inzy is the man who wants flat tracks. I even read a report in one of the Indian dailies recently which quoted a Pak newspaper reporting that Inzy, MoYo and a few others are the guys who have been leading the campaign for flat tracks at home, not just against India but basically against everyone. Their reasoning seems fair enough... They can make a lot of runs and hopefully, the pace of Shoaib and the guiles of Kaneria with support from Rana, Asif, Afridi etc. (and a few bad shots) will help them win a few matches and the rest will be drawn. Thus, they will almost NEVER lose at home.

But are these runs actually valuable? Are the Pak batters ever gonna improve their skills by batting on such tracks? This is the way India went in the early 90s and this is the way Sri Lanka have gone for a long time now... Both these sides struggled immensely whenever they toured outside the sub-continent. Pakistan were actually the one side that did very well even outside the subcontinent and that was because they played on some good wickets for bowlers, even though it may have cost them a few series at home. Ideally, they can atleast have the odd bouncy and green track in every series.

no, but I have been there since day 1. We were actually at PWS, the wrestling site. But they were hacked way too often and after a bit of misunderstanding, we came out and now have our own boards. WE have been around since May 2003. We have two brands and two farm leagues. :) And one of our brands juz had its 100th episode.

BTW, ur suggestion is good, but I guess there wasn't anyway to do it. I will put it across to our owner though.

What do you guys think for the Karachi Test. I'd go for this team.

V. Sehwag
R. Dravid
V.V.S. Laxman
S. Tendulkar
S. Ganguly
Y. Singh
M. Dhoni
I. Pathan
A. Kumble
Z. Khan
R. P. Singh

Harbhajan can be included as the 5th bowler in place of Ganguly, but he hasn't done anything in this series and we might need the batting depth in Karachi. Hopefully the 3-pronged seam attack works well.

too much of a risk... I don't know how the wicket is at Karachi, but it seems traditionally that it was a spinner's track than a pacer's track. So it will be a big call to change this line up.
