Gambhir Gambhir Gambhir Gambhir Gambhir Gambhir......or maybe Jaffer.

Don't, and I repeat, DON'T, tamper with such a crucial position as that. It could lead to batting collapses and a batting side under pressure.
I agree with you. But I don't think it likely that they will change the batting order. I shudder to think the reaction of some people back home if ganguly is dropped. And dropping Yuvraj is a strict no-no in my books.

Like Inzamam said, "Meh captain hoon, groundsman nai hoon." (I am the captain not the groundsman).
Actually I meant that SheerIndianSpeed deserved a ban for using foul words and attacking the Pakistan captain personally.

As usual, nehrafan, vandemataram and the lot have descended on cricketweb right before an Indo-Pak series. Should be interesting if Pak manage to do well :P
Don't forget Ajaragarrarakrakaja Murtaza, he suddenly turns up out of nowhere to slate the Pakistanis the second Sehwag makes a double.

dropping Yuvraj is a no-no
And what great thing has he done? Opened the innings? Scored a double century anywhere in the order? Or bowled 20 overs? He may be in form, but his presence is inconsequential. On the other hand, Gambhir can open the batting. So does Jaffer. Not to mention, there are four seamers in India who have been among the top run-scorers for their FC teams– unfortunately none of them are picked for India. All of them provide more value addition than Yuvraj. Agreed, Yuvraj is a fantastic batsman when in form, but he lacks value addition.

They do??? or did you meant that thye have a BITTER bowling attack:laugh:
GASP! Such understated wit! Are you seriously suggesting that a pace attack of Pathan, Agarkar and Ganguly:laugh: is better than an attack consisting of Shoaib, Naved-ul-Hasan and Sami?

Sorry, it was a misunderstanding on my part. I thought you were suggesting that Inzamam should be banned for singlehandedly creating a bowlers' graveyard.

I concur. It will atleast put a dent into the negative slinging that's going on because of the trolls.

If I can draw your attention to the shockingly witty post by Nehrafan, you will see that the 'BITTER' bowling attack in question is Pakistan's pace attack. I was merely comparing the pace attacks of both teams in reply to that hilarious post. I do agree though, that India's spin department of Bhaji and Kumble outclasses Danish Kaneria and Shoaib Malik. Better watch out for Danish Kaneria though.

On cricinfo, the section dedicated to india vs pakistan has a silhouette of Shoaib Akhtar bowling. This silhoette clearly shows his arm to be bent, is this how he normally bowls?

Btw, it's Shabbir Ahmed not Shoaib Akhtar. Ignorant fool...

Haha settle down ladies, and just enjoy the cricket that`s not being played. :D

Pakistan easily have the better pacemen, and India easily have the better spinners. But you have to remember the corresponding talents of Pathan and Kaneria, who really stand up when the team needs `em.

Dropping Yujraj is a no-no in my opinion because if he is dropped, it will in reality be only to make room for Ganguly. I agree that a specialist opener is essential. But to drop Yuvraj is a worse sin than to drop Ganguly (which is not a sin at all). The way I see it Dravid may have done what he needed to do by opening the innings (and god knows what else he could have done) but it just pushed the Ganguly issue to the next match.

However, I wont have any problems if Ganguly is dropped for jaffer/Gambhir and Yujraj is dropped for another seamer.

If you replace Ganguly by Zaheer Khan, then the Indian attack is far better.

Pakistan struggled to get a single Indian wkt, while India took seven Pak wkts, its very clear to me and to Sehwag as to which attack is better!!
