IMO, Afridi is best suited to the role he played in the 1999 WC when he was 6th bowler and a lower order batsman.
A bit like the role Razzaq has then - can the lower middle order sustain both of them?

Exactly, good point marc!

With Razzaq in the team, and performing with the bat consistently in the lower order there is no need for Afridi to be there, so the only position I feel Afridi can bat is opening. I'd much rather see Taufeeq Umar opening the batting with Hameed, however the problem is Razzaq can not hold his own with the ball consistently.

How ironic that Razzaq does the job with the bat, yet cannot with the ball, and Afridi is the opposite (usually, you can never predict with him).

Afridi dropped, Razzaq will most likely have to bowl 10 overs today. Taufeeq Umar is in.

Inzi has won the toss and chose to bowl first.

I am really looking forward to this one.
May the best team win.
Head on the block here - India have the best batting lineup, Pakistan have POTENTIALLY the best bowling attack.

Going for Pakistan, MoM my favourite pie-eater again.

Sachin Tendulkar really needs to shut everybody up, and big time. People say he can't perform in the 'big games',

Isn't every game he plays for India a 'Big Game'?.

Cmon Sachin, shut em up, dont let them speak, today's your game mate, today's your day.

Deliver in a crunch situation, a final.

Exactly, every time Tendulkar goes out to bat for India its a big game. People (especially the Indian public) expect a ton every game. :wow:

Whatever happens today I know Tendulkar isn't a choker, however that being said I wouldn't mind a 100. :D

Sehwag out, 1/48 after 7.3 overs. I don't mind if India lose a couple early wickets as long as they can keep the run rate high enough 300 should be a possibility. Especially considering they bat to 7.

That being said let's not lose too many early. :) Tendulkar looking steady, keep it up Sachin!

Goooooooooooooooooooone!!!!!

ST tries to run Sami down to third man, just feathers it to the keeper for 37.

Well, yes I do - with Taufeeq and Hameed, Youhana, Inzi, Malik, Moin, Afridi and Razzaq, I think that is good enough.

Besides, Younis Khan isn't exactly one for huge scores...

183-3 off 36 - a solid platform.

275 looks more than likely, could just squeak 300.

As I say that, Sami strikes to remove the Flying Scotsman

You beauty VVS! Shuts everyone up who was once again saying he's not a ODI batsman. First Dravid does it, now VVS. Beautiful 8D

People are much too quick to jump on these guys' back in the ODI game, much too quick indeed.

Argh! Laxman gone, if there's one thing Laxman lacks its the ability to slog. Hopefully Kaif can pick it up. This all occurred as a result of Ganguly's wicket. 6-7 wickets in hand would of been much handier here.

Hang about....

You can't blame Ganguly for VVS getting out, surely?

Maybe it's time you looked at your previous statement regarding Laxman and McDravid and applied that to Ganguly yourself?

Virat Kohli (c)
I'm a big follower of Ganguly, big follower. So no I'm not one of "them" who you are referring to. There's plenty of "them" around these boards and I disagree with their views. Nothing more needs to be said regarding that. He just played a bad shot to go out at an unncessary time.

Woohoo go Pathan. :D Ouch, Kaif out. Send in Balaji :cool2:

Balaji hits a six! If its possible for a tailender to be in form, then I believe Balaji is in form now, having a decent series with the bat. :)
