But 3rd Umpire for Run Outs can only judge whether the player was in the crease or not.
Aha didnt know that, thanks for clearing it up :)

The replays were pretty inconclusive - batsmen should be given the benefit of the doubt in those situations if you ask me.

and who was the wise guy who said razzaq couldnt bat???brilliant knock.
in the post match interviews imran khan said that he was wondering why inzamam only sent razzaq in with 3-4 overs left in rawalpindi...he also mentioned that razzaq was the cleanest hitter in the pakistan side and that his knock in new zealand was one of the best he had ever seen. looks like hes been reading some of my posts!:D

but u said he can only slog!!his innings today was well structured- he batted sensibly when the innings needed rebuilding and then went for his shots. besides someone with an average of 145 in 2004 is definetly more than just a hit and miss player

I cannot say that I was very impressed with the umpiring of Nadeem Ghauri today - the lbw decision where Inzy was given out was particularly shabby - although I believe that there was one equally dodgy in the Indian innings (Powar?).

Still, these matches are certainly worth getting up for.

<quack> You lying git.

nice to see you back lucky eddie :D

i also thought that Yasir Hameed was out LBW in the very first over. But David Shepherd did not give it.

I am not sure about this but was there a nick by Yasir Hammed to the keeper off Balaji as well which was not given out?

He's predominantly a slogging player - the difference here is he wasn't setting a target, but had a target to chase so could temper himself.

Still doesn't change my view that sending him in when batting first too early can be counterproductive.

You are sounding like a sore loser. why cant you accept that we lost to a better team. Did you really see Inzamam's LBW or Younis Khan's run out ? Both of them were not out.

India - now well and truly on the backfoot in this series - needs a herculean effort to pull a series victory out of the hat - at this point, I don't see it happening.....hope India wins in Peshawar and the series goes down to the wire in the 5th o.d.i.:(

bowling wise seems like PAK bowlers will only be effective if there is some assistance in pitch, but IND bowlers will be missing in action all throughout. Lahore match I am sure will have some assistance for bowlers, advantage PAK.

I feel India should drop Zaheer Khan and opt to try some new young pace bowler. Z. Khan has been absolutely pathetic...is he really a specialist? Since the WC final, he's been totally out of form.
V. V. S. Laxman should also be droped from the one day side. He is a terrible one day player as he can't put runs up quickly and plays it like its a test match. I think the 3 centuries in Australia were a fluke. Move Ganguly to number 3 and bring in either that Dhawara guy or Rayudu. For right now, we may need to pring in Partiv Patel because he can surely put up the runs in a huryy.
Irfan Pathan today showed why it was a huge mistake leaving him out of the side. He performed very well.
We surely need a better spinner replacement than Katick and Powar (although Powar can bat).

Any Foxtel viewers (I'm looking at you masterblaster ;)) know what time the highlights for the 3rd ODI are on? With the SA/NZ & SL/Aus tests going on I can't find when they're showing it. :(

Just as I post that I find it. 11:30 pm Saturday is the highlights for the match if anyone's interested.

Unfortunately, Harbhajan has re injured his right spinning finger, so he will be out until the Champions Trophy in England in September.

Anil Kumble is out with shoulder problems which should recover when the test series starts.

Ajit Agarkar as well has shin, knee or calf problems (something to do with the leg), and he will be fit when the test series starts.

So effectively, India is missing over 600 ODI wickets of experience from their bowling lineup.

Kumble has over 300, Ajit Agarkar has over 160 and Harbhajan has around 100, and Nehra has around 45 odd.

Not pretty for Indian supporters.

Im not going to watch the highlights tonight Jono. I need sleep mate, University is eating up all my time, and im getting really tired.

Plus India lost, Sachin was out for 0, there is no charm in it really to be watching it 11:30 pm until 1:30 am.

If it was on in the morning or afternoon I would've watched it.

So for today, its getting my Engineering Assignments finished, watching WWE Smackdown! at 7:30 pm, eating dinner, and hitting the sack at around 9:30 pm.

Not a very interesting life eh?

I hope it gets a little more exciting soon.....

Congrats to Pak fans, their team played better and won the match.

The total set by Indians was defendable, if only Ajit and Kumble were playing the match instead of overrated Zaheer khan. ZK got to the most pathetic bowler around, it would be better if Indian team drop him from the remaining two ODI.

The idea of playing with seven specialist batters is also NOT working. I think India should go in with 5 specialist bowler.

There wasn't much difference between the two teams, except that Pak opener in Hameed played a very good knock and Razzak once again came up with a brilliant innings.

Indians might be down but are not out of race, watch out for them at Lahore.

I think Sanz was saying that Razzak is a very average batsman.
There is no doubt in my mind that Razzak is one of the best lower order batsman in the world. He just changes the complexion of the game in jst 4-5 overs. India needs to have a player like Razzak while batting a number seven instead of a regular middle order batsman in Kaif batting at seventh slot(seems to be totally stupid idea).

Shabbir surprised me, some of his deliveries were very good particulary the one that got Sachin out. Akhter too bowled well but was unlucky. I'm very dissapointed with Zaheer, i am a big fan of him, but it looks like he's out there to dissapoint us all

:(
