And as I say that, Boult gets Rahane lbw. Can't really blame Davis for turning it down, there would have been doubt in two areas in his mind.
If he can give Anderson out for something no where near as close as this, then surely he can give this out easy.

I just get the feeling with Boult that he starts looking for the miracle ball rather than just bowling a line and length that is constant and challenging. A bit like Southee. We do miss the Siddle type line and length bowler, maybe that's where Matt Henry can grow into a decent foil for our swing attack.

It was more than purported the ball would have gotten most batsman out.
I used that word in the context of his spell up until that point.

There are those who will say Rohit Sharma is the "most talented" Indian batsman since SRT and then there are those who will point to his inconsistent record and bad-mouth him. The latter group needs to read those two highlighted words once again or, if they are fortunate to be watching the three shots in the last over, they will understand their meaning. The fact that they all went for boundaries is, by the way, not the reason they were such awesome shots worthy of the best.

Any day this guys bats for a couple of hours, I hope and pray I am watching.

Anyone think McCullum is asking Wagner to drop in the short ball? I just don't think it's his best skill, if he keeps it up consistently, varies his seam and pace, he'll be much harder for the batsmen to handle than he is when he drops it short.

didn't stop him from giving Corey Anderson out hit high from a bowler bowling wide around the stumps.

Yeah, I was asleep when that happened :p Point taken though, just saying that, in isolation, I think we've all seen a lot worse decisions.

Should have been given, definitely. Out is out.

I don't actually think Boult has bowled as well as Southee has today. His seam presentation hasn't been as good as what we're used to seeing from him and his pace has been a bit down.

Southee has been superb,

wagner might be able to produce jaffas but he will never be a good test bowler until he can land 6 out of 6 on a good length and bowl maidens.

he has more wickets due to playing longer than the young bowlers but henry and wheeler are already better bowlers imo.

And Boult on a bad day is still a bloody good bowler.

Rohit sharma at one point was 1 off 23, I swear this guy uses the exact same approach in ODIs as he does in tests, no wonder he's been so average in limited overs cricket.
