Never said there was actual justification for it. Even I don't know why I hate Vijay so muchdont know why dan hates vijay so much. every time i watch him he looks competent enough.
Ashwin would've been just as useless.Sodhi > Jadeja
India really missed Ashwin, imo.
Maybe so, but only the last three years worth of performance is tracked for the rankings as far as I'm aware - which doesn't stretch back to Vettori's reign.a reign with more success than the vettori reign. a reign which ended with an overseas victory.
Yeah, and that pressure release counts against him as a bowler. The effect one bowler can have on the guy down the other end is huge (see Boult when there's no Southee), so I can't see 2-3 overs of filth from Wagner helping the other bowler build pressure and take wickets. Not necessarily a terminal weakness, but a pretty obvious one nonetheless. As for Sodhi, so far, lot more turn than he's been used to but look at his expression when he got one to bite, he had no clue how he did it. So yes, "consistently" does come into the equation, lets see how he goes throughout the test match. He's still dropped four out of 12 too short.
Wagner hasn't bowled at all well so far, very poorly. But he generally takes a few overs to get going.
Not yet, this one's still moving. So did NZ change the new ball this time?
This is happening. Suck it PEWSKohli is going to play **** in this Auckland test because he knows I am coming for the Wellington test. Saving up his awesomeness for that match.
I would prefer that everyone on this forum just plays 'wait and see what happens' w.r.t both Wagner and Sodhi for the rest of this seriesSo if wagner takes say 3 overs to get going out of say a spell of 8 what your saying is hes useless?
And a few overs into it... he bowls a beautiful length delivery, holds on the seam and takes the top of off.Wagner hasn't bowled at all well so far, very poorly. But he generally takes a few overs to get going.
