Would be my XI. Not sure about Lumb, but struggled to come up with a decent partner for Hales, so went with his opening partner at Notts, they'd get us off to a decent start at least. Any ideas? Who would you go for?

Yeah, was torn between them two and Lumb. Lumb's had a better season in the OD stuff, and has opened a fair bit with Hales so went with him. Could easily be any of the 3 though, would all be significantly better options than Cook.

Really Nicholas? In all the years you've been watching cricket, you've "never seen that"?! Dhoni does it once every series at least

People booing blokes to the crease can gagf don't care who they support disgusting behaviour tbh. Annoyed me when they did it to Ponting last time he was over here.

England's line up all wrong. Just depends if they stagger on until the WC before the inevitable early exit or whether they try to change it now

Well that's not going to be enough. Something majorly needs to change in this side, but feels like we've been saying that for years.

Lack of aggression from Englands top order yet again, when India and Australia play ODIs the aim is to get 300.
206 all out.

Yes Ashwin and Jadeja have bowled very well so far in the ODI series like they normally do in ODIs, but only Ali tried to bat fast and he smashed 67.
Kumar has been Indias best player this summer, 2-14 in 8 overs today.

Im off to the final ODI in Leeds friday, unless England bowl very well today it could be a potential 4-0 away from home result, which would delight me but I think we would all rather prefer competitive matches rather than embarrassing thrashings :D

Not going to change as Cook will be captain/opener and the thinking is muddled from there

Eng simply don't have a prayer in the WC unless the bowlers have a blinder as they wont score enough runs

Won't score enough even if the bowlers have a blinder. Having a blinder will be keeping it under 250 which is way too many for us.

Bowling and batting are both miles short of what's needed nowadays. Cook's a convenient scapegoat, but the problems are so deep rooted now.
May as well send an Under 25 side to the WC.

When do we think Anderson might actually take a wicket in this series? It's odd to think that he originally made his name as a ODI bowler.

I think it's probably increasingly would be a fixture especially in tournaments and one day matches (both ODI &T20I).
