I'm not getting why Dhoni won't bowl Sir Jadeja here.
If you prefer Ashwin so much as a bowler then it begs the question why was Sir Jadeja playing ahead of him in the first place? It's not like Ashwin is looking potentially dangerous here either and now 2 Right handers are in.

Well, the problem/strength of our tail is they're all pretty attacking, which an be great if they get going, but it's not beyond the realms they could all clatter in a heap. After all, all these problems were caused by an injudicious shot by CJ when we looked comfortable. Been downhill ever since. Not blaming him, but it's the way we're going to play, has risks.

I really can't tell. Hanging around for a dozen overs and getting out to a jaffa is not exactly a great alternative. I don't think sitting out and tiring the bowlers would be a helpful way to go at this point. Maybe controlled aggression is the way to go, until hte new ball arrives.
