Well, those two had batted for best part of two hours. That was weird. England just took their 5th wicket of the session and I thought 'finally'.
Yep and started on a Bacardi Breezer (hey, I've got 3 women staying with me) - talk about following clay with ********, did you guys stop eating biryani or what!
Sky commentators mentioned it too........2002 at Eden Park and 2012 V's Pakistan in Dubai were the others. Some bloke on cricinfo was saying that the last three times we had sides 4 down for under 25, we went on to lose the matches, so I was trying to work out when they might have been. SA at Leeds in 2003 sprang to mind. Maybe in SL in 2007 when Hoggard had a golden opening spell?
Ah, Dubai shouldn't have surprised me. I wouldn't have thought about Eden Park at all though; possibly one of their drop-in pitches like in the 1st test in that series.Sky commentators mentioned it too........2002 at Eden Park and 2012 V's Pakistan in Dubai were the others.
Just checked and 2007 V's SL wasn't one of them, they were 40 odd for 4..........can't think what the other one would be.Ah, Dubai shouldn't have surprised me. I wouldn't have thought about Eden Park at all though; possibly one of their drop-in pitches like in the 1st test in that series.

Beyond that, there is an increasing pressure on Woakes and Jordan that if they can't take wickets on this surface, they probably have no basis to be playing test cricket.
And, having had them at 8 for 4, anything around 150 is going to look like a decent score. Yeah but the stat of 'the last 3 times' or the like is still wrong, because we had SL 25/4 at Edgbaston in 2006 and won.Sky commentators mentioned it too........2002 at Eden Park and 2012 V's Pakistan in Dubai were the others.
Just another saffa chokeSouth Africa need 22 off 1 ball
snrk
I'm pretty confident about 2003 vs SA at Leeds, which gives us 3 times with Dubai and Eden Park. As someone else said, it isn't the last 3 times though.Just checked and 2007 V's SL wasn't one of them, they were 40 odd for 4..........can't think what the other one would be.

Actually, did we have Aus not many for 4 at Perth in 2010/11?
So you did, thank you.I posted the full list fella
If he figures out how to bowl half-decently away from home and bats like he has already done so far, he most definitely has a solid chance if he goes on to play 100+ tests. Potential being the key word here. You could have asked it about Ishant anywhere, tbf.
I'd have Ashwin in the side, don't get me wrong. But I don see him as a panacea, especially away from home.
Some muppet on here during day five of the test said Ashwin had the potential to be the greatest all rounder of all time ffs.
