You r seen very much disturbed on the Indian fans' complaint about umpiring.
Because you're attempting to cloud the issue by complaining about something that isn't as bad as you make out.

Even then, if the umpires had given those ,mentioned in Reallycrazy's post, then it would have been a different story,..no matter who got injured, then.
And if the 3rd umpire had given Sehwag, or don't you count that as a valid comparison seeing as it would very much have reduced India's score?

The injured bowlers is a far bigger impact on this match than some perceived bias by the umpires, and until it is accepted as that, all whinging and sour grapes from fans of the weaker side in this match will be picked up on.

Why is it that we Indians always whine about umpiring, we said that in WC 2003, we always say that for Sahara Cup against Pakistan in Toronto, we say that for Pakistan games in Sharjah..we said that when we lost to Zimbabawe in WC 99...I don't think it would have made a difference, I'mean cmon that Adelaide victory was a fluke! once in a lifetime performance...
What do u expect with this sort of post? U need a good appreciation from the Non-Indian members over here? Then carry on..With my sort of agression , answer to ur post may not be "sufficient". I hope, later Amit(if he is there)/rajat/jagaways can give correct answer.

The umpiring has been substandard throughout the series. And mostly, its been India who are on the receiving end of the umpires' incompetence.

Australia's first innings should have really been 282 all out.
Face it - the umpiring is ALWAYS sub-standard as far as some people are concerned.

As has been said on so many occasions, the umpires are NEUTRAL - I honestly don't think that Shep and Billy care one iota who wins the game - they will call each decision as they see it, irrespective of who might be on the receiving end.

The whole idea that anyone can say 'so and so should have been given out on x insteaq of going on to make y, therefore the side's total WOULD have been z - (y - x)' is flawed logic, though - if a batsman is dismissed, the whole following time-line (what actually happened) is changed. There is no way of being certain that EVERYTHING ELSE which DID happen WOULD HAVE happened. It's possible that Waugh could have made 400 on his own.

But then again, I wouldn't expect you to understand that concept.

Aggression can only lead to one thing - think on that.

Come to think of it, Ponting has just recreated Kambli's feat of double centuries in consecutive games.:wow:

.
I was commenting about the ill decisions against India. If I was writing on the favours India got, then sure I would have commented on the favour Sehwag got from the Aussy third umpire. Regarding the reduced score, it is something to be argued with ReallyCrazy as that wasn't pointed out by me.(as i had mentioned earlier, sehwag's contribution will be always a bonus for India and nobody really cares if he goes for a duck. But that's not the case with Hayden & Ponting for aus.)

dose anyone think india will go to score 400 in this inning?
I think they can, but even that will probably not be enough to beat the Aussies. We bowled them out for 196 last game, but I doubt we can expect to do the same again. To have close to a winning chance, we need a whole 500, atleast.

But then again, there are always those incredibly ***y miracles that come about :saint:

India really dont have chance of winning this match so the best they can do is bat till tomorrow and declare or get all out by lunch on day 5 and try to win this match or atleast let it end in a draw so aussies dont win the the series

I don't expect a draw as the pitch seems to be going off somewhat. However, a Tendulkar triple-century would suit nicely for the Predictions League.

Seems like it's going to be all-square going into Sydney.

And why, oh why was Zaheer playing when he was injured?

I don't think that they WILL, but they most certainly COULD - there is an awesome amount of batting talent in the Indian side.

He obviously felt he was needed. I don't think he, being India's main bowler in this series, could bear sitting out of another game wherein victory is known to be possible.

I think tomorrow the Australian bowlers definitely need to get a few wkts (either Ganguly's or Dravid or even both) within the first session, I doubt the likes of Dravid will get out cheap once the pitch has dried further more after lunch break- that could mean disaster for MacGill. I think the first session is of great importance to both teams, if Australia succeed then the India will definitely be all out within day 4 else maybe as someone said India may even post a total of some 200 for Australia to chase which means Australia will start their second innings around lunch of Day 5...

-- ----- thats me being pessimestic about Australia team because to tell the truth thats always made me happy, I was very optimistic when Australia played Pakistan in the world cup also New Zealand but it turned out a very close match!

On the brighter side I tdon't think they'll be a great partnership tomorrow > its always very hard to repeat what one has done in the earlier test prior to the present one, but if they do post a good partnership I'll be ready to eat my words.

PS. I am an Indian but above that I'm a cricket fan!!!

Or not, as the case may be. :P
What I meant is, that after the second test, it became known that Australia can be beaten in Australia - and it is clear that he didn't want to miss out on another one of those if it was doable again.

That, or he was forced to play...but I highly doubt that.

Its a bright, beaming 35 degrees Celsius here in Melbourne today, very very hot!!

No chance of a freakish storm just yet, India will have to save this match with hardwork, determination and resilliance, like they did in Adelaide.

Today may be the day.....
