Are you suggesting that biased Umpiring never existed before ???? I hope not ...
I'm not sure what you mean by that statement....I was an advocate of neutral umpires ever since the hysteria which surrounded David Constant (not because there was anything valid at all in the criticism of David - the 'whiney people' just had it in for him over a couple of decisions, exactly the same as the idiots who had the audacity to cast doubt on David Shepherd's neutrality over a single decision which went against a certain player in the second test) - because he was a personal friend of mine and I thought the accusations were deplorable.

Now, I will throw the question right back at you. What evidence do you have regarding the impartiality of umpires in first class (preferably test match) cricket, either now or within the last 30 or 40 years?

Do not use the phrases 'I have heard', 'someone told me' or 'it is common knowledge that'

Well Lucky Ive always considered you as quite knowledgeble and I am a bit perplexed with your view. Therefore I think that its best that we agree to dis-agree on this matter as its a bit off topic.

However I would suggest that aussie and pakistani Umpiring was not known for its impartiality especially in the 1970's .....

Yes 49 ain't bad, but he's already treated as a demi God in India, there have been magazines saying he'll score a 200 again! The publicity he's getting is unbelievable, stunning, the Prime Minister esp rang him up to congratulate him :D

Don't be silly, Bapu. The second best batsman doesn't have to score hundreds in every game he plays.

Wow, that was witty. Actually I'm a high school student on the prospect of applying to college. I don't feel like boasting, but clearly you don't know Palo Alto.

Have a nice day.

Bapu Rao Swami-Ok, are you plain ******** or have you not noticed what Neil posted earlier? ok, listen very carefully that is NOT acceptable. It is infact a comment slurred with racial stereotypes. Now, i dont think anyone want more such plain bull*cks.

I am currently watching The Premiership, so I don't know what is happening at the test. What is happening?
cricket.org will do better than us, but India is 329/4 (Sehwag 195, Ganguly and Laxman at the crease) :D

A typical Indian performance, and a typical Indian lower order collapse. It always rings true, that after Laxman, the tail is extremely ordinary.

Its been an amazing turnaround all of a sudden. India losing 6/16, so fast. Absolutely pathetic effort by the tailenders.

The match and the series takes another interesting turn. Its up to Zaheer, Agarkar and co. to see what they can do on a good, yet quick Melbourne pitch.
