*Official* India in Australia Thread

Congratulations to India, very well played.
The first time in history that both sides have scored 500+ in the first inings and there has been a result.

Dravid is my man of the match.

Look for Australia to come back hard in the next two tests.

I wish. :D

R u DRUNK. BUT then how would you be in Queensland.

I guess u would only be in one state at a time.:alien8:

Agarkar the terminator!

All Prasie to Ajit Bhalchandra Agarkar, the pride of Mumbai, the terminator at Adelaide.

I told you guys long ago that Ajit is great, but noone listened. Ajit might have his share of misfortunes in the past but now he's here to rule. People will now forget his 5 ducks in Australia but will remember the great man who sank the mighty ship.

Mind you, Australia still have two more tests to go with India, two more painful encounter with the great pacer from Mumbai.Australia are probably going to lose this series, and we will see Indian team replacing Australia as the number one team in the world in near future.

I think Ausssie batsmen will be seen saying a particular word to Agarkar in the next encounter. The golden word would happen to be *MERCY*

India rules !!

Not if last tour was an indication!
I can see it now.......short leg, leg gully.........Lee around the wicket, rising balls up into the ribcage/armpit/throat.......Dravid will not handle it.
Tendulkar may do ok, I think he scored 1 century last time, but Laxman will get blasted out as well.
 :D :P :duh:

Congratulations to India for a fine win. 230 was never enough on that pitch. 300 might have made it interesting but it wasn't to be.

Dravid and Laxman showed their class and it was fitting that Dravid scored the winning runs. Agarkar proved that he is still the enigma by bowling well.

Australia must come back and fight hard. Get rid of the complacency that might have been there in the 2nd innings. They may have thought that it would be as easy as the first innings but it wasn't.

Lee will come in for sure and his firepower will test the Indians.

Talks of India being the number 1 side may be a bit premature. Let's see if they can play well consistently like the Aussies have for years. It's amazing how many Indian posters have come out of the woodwork when they win. Some guys I haven't seen for a long time. A special hooray for Amits whose faith has been rewarded today.

Superb stuff from India !!! A great test with excellent play from both sides.

There's been a lot of bragging from both Australian and Indian
supporters.

Kenny going on about the Indian batsmen couldn't handle the bounce.
Iamdavid "Anthing u can do, we can do better" up at the Gabba test -- I notice you've been a bit quiet of late iamdavid.
Amits and his 3-0 and 4-0 Indian win predictions.

There may be a few more twists and turns yet lads. This series ain't over.

Steven Waugh would hate to end his career on a losing note, and since this is the last test series of his career, he would like to win it by a 2-1 margin. But Can Australia bounce back?????

Considering McGrath and Warne aren't available, Lee would be the only regular test bowler that would be available(among the 3 mentioned names) to Australia for the last two test matches.A lot will be expected from Lee, can he live upto the expectations??? only time will tell.

What a win by India! This is unbeleivable. When this series started, I didn't think this would happen (as I am pretty sure the majority of you guys as well). Autralia scored 400 on the first day and went on to pile up 556 but the Indians were not overawed.

Rahul Dravid...what a fantastic player. Its just too tough to get him out. He keeps playing sensibly with so much concentration and never throws his wicket away. He is not called THE WALL for no reason and he showed in this match why he's such a barrier for opposing teams. Laxman deserves a lot of credit too. That partnership of 303 with Dravid (when India were in dire straits at 85/4) was a pleasure to watch, he plays with so much elegance and style. And today he made a fast 32 and ensured that India didn't choke in the end! :cool2:

And as for Australia...hmmm it was the Ghosts of Calcutta 2001 which came to haunt them once again.

All in all, a very great match, perhaps one of the greatest in recent memory.

Amits, you are getting to be really annoying. How many times are you going to say the same **** over and over again. It was funny the first and second time but now its getting old, so just quit it please. Yes India played great cricket and won and we have every right to celebrate (I'm an Indian fan too) but there's no need to make this personal.

But maybe, I am asking too much from you. Judging by what you post on these boards, you seem to be missing a few nuts and bolts in your head.

Is India the bogey team for Waugh men's???

Anyway the series is still wide open, India can win one more test match and win the series:D or Australia can win the series by winning the last two test matches OR the series can end in a draw with Australia managing to win one test match and the other one ending in a draw.

Scenario one & three looks more likely!

Mates cool down, don't get personal, otherwise you guys can be in trouble.

Just comment on cricket and not on posters.
