australia - hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

losing 3 wickets in just 8 balls of play

and 90% ppl claimed that they will humiliate india.

i was right, india will humiliate aus. i had said that only rain can save aus and its only rain which came to auss rescue. if rain hadnt come, aus would have been out for less than 400, the prediction i made tommorow.

You mean to say that the prediction you made yesterday?
Well the innings is going to get started soon and we will see as to whether Aus do manages 400 or not (as i said earlier if Gilchrist stays on pitch then its going to be trouble for India).

However i don't see how India can humiliate Aus by bowling them out for a score less than 400? A score above 300 is certainly respectable.

I think this series is going to be more closer than some people had thought earlier, India has potential to deliever but we shouldn't also forget that Australia are the undisputed world champions !

If rain continues, this match might end up as a draw
The forecast for Brisbame tomorrow is for more rain, but fine on Sunday and Monday. If it does pan out that way things might get interesting. The Aussies generally back themselves to be able to get ten quick wickets in the fourth innings.

i meant yesterday only.

if aus r out for less than 400, then india will be in with a good chance to win. india will have to play aggressively to win. to get out, it will almost take us to the end of the day.

in the small time india bat today, india have to ensure that they dont lose wickets.

tommorow, india should go on with an aggressive frame of mind and look to hit 400 runs in a day (in the 105 overs they get, if it dont rain).

day 4, india should declare/get all out at a score of 500+ so as to take a 1st innings lead., before bowling out aus for less than 300 by lunch on 5th day.

now india, get a target of 180-200 which india can easily chase in 2 sessions playing positive cricket.

choora, do u remember the 2001 ind-aus test match in ur city ?

in that test aus made 326/3 on day 1 and collapsed to 391 all out by lunch on day 3. ind made 501 all out, before ind bowled aus out in the 2nd innings and then won easily by 2 wickets (despite a lower order scare) chasing 155. that match is likely to be repeated here and what i said was almost similar to that match.

Mate who can forget that match, certainly not an Indian:saint:

Basically Bhajji destroyed Australia in that test match, he made a mockery of Aus batting line up in that series

However the playing conditions in Australia is very different from what we had in India.I don't think Harbhajan will be able to display his heroics in that manner on Aus pitches.

Damn rain:!(

I must admit that I did crack a smile when I saw that Mr. Waugh was out for a duck. Unsure as to my motives though...
Even a hit wicket duck :O Now how on earth did he manage that?

76.1 Agarkar to Gillespie, three runs, RUN OUT cut out forward of point,
a long chase for Harbhajan, Gillespie wants a fourth but Bracken
is not interested and sends him back, perfect through bu Harbhajan
back to Agarkar who removes the bails

Australia 320/9...interesting to say the least

amazing comeback by india. 7 wickets for 49 runs. (268/2 - 317/9)

Hey Amits, have you thought that the sooner the final wicket falls the more time Australia get at your top order? You collapsed our lower order, but we'll get a shot at your TOP ORDER today. :D

Enjoy.

All I can say is, well done Zaheer and Agarkar.

Well Done

But Amit, I would keep my pants on at the moment mate, Indian batsman are notoriously inconsistent, and always falter in Australian conditions.

I don't really care who wins this series, but its great to see Australia in a bit of a struggle ...but honestly, the reaction I've seen so far is like India have won the series..come on, you guys haven't even batted yet!

Stumps.

Australia 323/9 on the 2nd day.

Bracken could have been lbw with the last ball.

Forecast, as said, is rain tomorrow - odds for a draw have certainly decreased :)

Don't have a clue about how the Indian batsmen will perform, but when the Aussies throw away their wickets (Agarkar gets two! in a Test!) like that there should certainly be a chance.

Well done also to Zaheer Khan.

Yeah Tim, exactly right

Im getting a feeling that our batting wont be too inspiring on a green track.

We'd probably be all out for around about 150-200.

Tendulkar is now the key man..(as if he wasn't already) but if he slams a century then it is very much an open game.
If not, then I can see India perhaps scoring less runs than Australia in their 1st innings.

Well considering the hot & humid conditions & how sweaty the pitch will be tommorow, the morning session could be an absolute nightmare so Australia may not care too much if MacGill & Bracken fail to score anymore runs.
And we only have to go back to the start of the year to know how well India handled a green seamer.

That match was played on a slow , low turner , with no rain in sight , absolutely no sideways movement & a lightning fast outfeild.

Those conditions are about as different to the ones in this match as you could ask for.

220 would be a par score out there today , I reckon 323 has Australia in a veru good position , especially considering India have to bat last & the pitch already has a couple of cracks in it.
