*Official* India in Australia Thread

I hope India enforce the follow-on, which I think is a distinct possibility, irrespective of Australia's superb start. There's still 300 runs to go. A lot can happen in that time.

Damn Punter just got out, I hope OZ can now bat slow, as slow as possible until tomorrow lunch, a lot depends on India's second innings, too many runs means a certain draw but like someone mentioned I hope Oz is put in situation where they chase 300-350 on the last day.

I don't see Waugh-Martyn making a strong partnership though, Gilly holds the key I believe.

Waugh's looking anything but convincing , but hey , he's still there :D

Katich will need some runs here , with Lehmann coming back he's still likely to play in Sri Lanka , but just to make sure.....

Australia in trouble now at 261/4. Martyn just got dismissed. And Kumble has all the 4 wickets right now. Can we expect a 10 wicket inning from him?

Gilchrist is bowled by a big inswinging yorker by Pathan - great ball.

Inspired stuff from the Indians - well played.

Kumble's been outstanding, really really outstanding. He's close to his best once more, and thats wonderful for India.

Pathan, to his credit has put up a fantastic performance, and one feels he is a much better option than Nehra.

I might post up the Day 3 highlights package for our USA cricket friends as they are released.

Once again, great yorker by Pathan, no left hander in the world could have played that ball.

I hope Katich gets out cheap. I want Oz not to bat longer than lunch tomorrow(infact if Oz lose early wkts tomorrow, the better it is) > that way things go as planned. India bats a session or two giving themselves another 150 or so runs, leaving Australia to bat the last session of Day 4 and whole of Day 5 chasing about 500 runs > if that happens Oz can make it, anything else its a certain draw!!

PS. India needs more of Kumble to win this, they've already piled up too many runs :(

If they don't bat till after lunch tomorrow, they'll have gotten the follow-on! So India won't bat again, unless it's a small chase later on...

I hadn't seen much cricket today except for last spell by Pathan. It was brilliant spell in which he got the ball to reverse swing both ways. Both the deliveries which got him wickets were just superb. I hope they use the same ball tomorrow to see it reverse swings. If India gets them out with a lead of 300 then there is a serious chance that they can win it :D . But they've got to get the remaining batsman out within 70 runs .
