They were excellent in parts, but definitely not excellent throughout!
It was good enough to draw one and win another, so it's good enough.

As has been shown many times you don't need to be "excellent throughout" to be either a winning team or a good team for that matter.

Australia are also rarely "excellent throughout."

A team that is excellent throughout doesn't need heroics. No team doesn't have heroics.

It will be interesting to see how this pitch plays as the match progresses.

There have been differing views already from various commentators on how the pitch will play.

Lawson doubts that the pitch will assist the spinners a great deal although at the same time he felt that Karthik would be a threat.
Healy has already detected a couple of cracks and feels they will be become more pronounced.
Malcolm Conn reckons this pitch is pretty much the same as the one that England defeated Australia on last year.

What do people think will be a good first innings score on this wicket ?
My guess is 450 at least....

There was absolutely no way Chopra feathered one to Gilchrist.
YOu only had to look at Giklchrist's reaction to see that it wasn't a nick.
haha have you seen it....

the decision was correct however in that Billy wasn't sure and couldn't give it out, which is the way it should be.

as for chopra, he could score alot faster. he is boring to watch.

Tendulkar still not looking that good. Laxman is playing very well. Tendulkar has already hit one in the air through the fielders though. Its not looking good for the aussies.

That's one of the things that makes him great. He may not be in the greatest of form (as is clear from his batting) but he still goes on to make a valuable knock.

Hmmm, Lee sucks big time, and they say he's the second fastest - Brad would have done better.

Okay Tendulkar gets a ton, that'll silence all his critics on this tour !

LEE has so far balled 15 NO-Balls in this inngs alone that's far too much for a bowler in test level.and he hasn't balled that fast too.

Every Indian batsman has faced more than 100 balls in this innings other than Dravid who faced 82 balls in making his 38. I think that's pretty much batting Australia out of the game!

Sachin!!!! well done ..., u could've done it early.. Now I'm a more relieved man than Sachin.. because he is my role model.:)
Infact he was the man in form when India reached here and he made an effortless 87 in the first warmup match. Later "Buckner shocked him"..so it took another 5 innings for him to score some runs again( still not exactly in full form)

I'm just wondering: if a 4 is hit off of a noball, I know it counts as 5 runs, but does that count as 1 noball or 5 noballs?

If it counts as only 1, Lee bowling 15 noballs is quite ridiculous! :O
