At least the Aussies don't continually appeal for things that clearly aren't out...
I don't know whether Lankans will do that, but even then that's a better option to distract batsman's(umpire's) concentration than sledging..I feel

Well the Lankans, I believe are no better, rewind back to world cup 96 - their sledging, constant appealing was deplorable by anyone's standards!

I'll never believe if u say Lnkans did sledging in WC96. Atlest mention against which team they did sledge( if it is agnst OZ, then that might be a counter attack, they would have never done in first hand) or which palyer did.

You cannot seriously believe that?

It's far worse to pressure the umpire in that manner than sledging is.

In the Aus A vs Zimbabwe game:

Zim 240 all out:
Carlisle 100 (continuing his run of 100s against Australia in ODers), Vermeulen 37.

Australia A 232 all out:
Marsh 57 at number 6, Griffith 33 at number 10, the great Michael Clarke 8 off 21 balls at 3, Watson 5 off 20 at number 4 (didn't bowl), Cameron White 2 off 11 at number 7 and 4-0-26-0.

Zimbabwe bowling figures:

Streak 10-1-44-0
Hondo 10-1-34-2 (took the wicket of Clarke)
Blignaut 8-2-27-2
Ervine 10-0-44-4
Price 8-0-53-2
Flower 3-0-24-0

Didn't really go to plan did it guys?

Sri Lanka are as bad as anyone else.

Kumar Sangakkara making continual remarks about the umpiring in the Second Test... Ranatunga...

And anyway, sledging's never put me off when I'm batting. You either ignore it or come back with something stronger - just don't let it rile you and they'll self-destruct.

Sarwan and McGrath was amusing :)

Match is gona be on in 6 hours.Anyone know what the team for India will be?
The team is impossible to guess really, there have been so many possible line up's thrown around that until about a hour before hand nobody will know for sure.

I've personally heard:

* Stay the same, with just a replacment for Z.Khan.. anyone from Murali Kartik, L Balaji, Irfan Pathan.
* Deep Dasgupta might be inducted as a wicketkeeper-opener to facilitate a fifth bowler
* Go with two pace bowlers and use the captain as a third seamer
* The only pace bowler certain of his place in the side is Ajit Agarkar, with Irfan Pathan and L Balaji being strong contenders for the other spot. Ashish Nehra has been carrying a niggle, and has been the least impressive of India's seamers.
* Murali Kartik to come in, most likly as a 2nd spinner with Kumble, but you know strange things have happened before

I personally have a feeling it will be:

The same batting with; Ajit Agarkar, Anil Kumble, Murali Kartik and Ashish Nehra (or Irfan Pathan) I think Ashish Nehra will be given the nod though.

You have the 4 front-line bowlers to bowl the major part but also the Captain to chip in with a few overs of pace and Tendulkar and Sehwag to help out also.

The way I see it is pretty similar to Rich - the top 9 is certain (Chopra, Sehwag, Dravid, Tendulkar, Ganguly, Laxman, Patel, Agarkar, Kumble), then it's 2 from Kartik, Pathan and Nehra, depending on the pitch.

Dead sure Nehra will play. They just won't drop him. I'm hoping Kartik plays but I'm pretty sure Pathan will.

Wow the Indian selectors have guts! Either that or more likely they have left Nehra out due to his injury.

Sorry you probley want the Australian side too :)

JL Langer, ML Hayden, RT Ponting, +AC Gilchrist, DR Martyn, *SR Waugh, SM Katich, B Lee, JN Gillespie, NW Bracken and SCG MacGill.

B.Lee and J.Gillespie join togeter for the first time in a while and B.williams although had a fine 3rd Test, they felt that N.Bracken offered more variation.

How exactly was I wrong there? :)

India win the toss and bat... Aussies will want a few early wickets or else India could well post 500+ and with two spinners the pitch could well crumble and come their way.

Because saying any of 4/5 players will be picked is stating the obvious :P - Me and Rik picked 11 players ;)

Also they say the pitch wont take too much spin until about day 4, up until then there will be grass and good movment for the pace bowlers.
