1000 runs for the year for Smitteh I think. Iirc they said 61 was the mark earlier. Unless I missed it.

Got a lot of time for Haddin who had to replace the best batting keeper the world has seen ( apologies to Lankan fans who would probably argue for Sanga). So what if he stumbles at times. He's been a very good gloveman who averages above 30 - I'll take that all day long. His star is definitely waning but I just wanted to go into bat for him because imho he cops more flak than he deserves
Yeah, agree with this.

Each time Haddin survives an over I breathe a sigh of relief. Looks very sketchy when the ball is pitched near the offstump line. That last shot was a bit better though.

didn't look like 70 000 this morning, reckon we've had a few come in this arvo via the beach and shops

one of the many reasons I rate him - tough, uncompromising and quite happy to bat ugly
Yeah I quite like those kind of players in a way - I rate Rogers as well. But Haddin's just looking more at sea than merely gritting it out. Happy he's not throwing his wicket but he'll be happy if he makes it to the end of day's play.

Plus, half the balls he's got he could have left ffs. At least duck if it's a bouncer instead of trying some crap.

Actually feeling Smith more vulnerable than Haddin here. Hasn't had a lot of strike and not middling it when he does. Come on son and get us to stumps

Enjoying the silence on offer in the commentary box. Brayshaw must be wondering why Bill isn't using that space to go on about how good a player this bloke is

Not really sure that's because he's vulnerable or because he's simply deadbatting it. Not attempting to put any force into his strokeplay at all.
